New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
It has been done. How domesticated they actually were might be debatable. I know of two people that tried it. Kept them in the house and let them roam outside. Haven’t seen or spoken to those folks in years so I’m not sure how it panned out when they got older and full grown.
Was point blank muzzle to fur with Mr. Longtooth here last weekend. Buddies dogs were getting their asses handed to them.
Never bring just a knife to a hog fight!
Ruger Stainless .44 Super Blackhawk.
I would think no with the shoe polish.
Long ago as a kid I tried some on old dry sun bleached antlers. Can’t exactly recall “kiwi brown color”.
It turned them brown but might as well have paint brushed them or used brown crayola marker cuz that’s how they looked afterwards.
Granted I didn’t...
I got the biggest upright freezer I could fit through the front door. Worth every dollar. Deer plus garden vegetables, pizzas and all the kids stuff. If it’s packed full we’re good for a long time.
The chest freezer I had was good for bulk ice storage or whole deer head capes until I could get...
One of the good ones from when I was a young impressionable high school kid.
The “engineering dispute” was classic. Reminds me of some days working in the oil patch. Figuratively speaking.
I remember bikes, bats, and BB guns as standard fare growing up with my cousins. Spotting cicaydas locusts buzzing up in the pecan trees and seeing who was first to shoot it down with Red Ryder’s was a fun challenge.
Shorter rifles definitely the way to go hunting suppressed from box blinds. Unless you have a luxery 8’x10’ tower blind. Otherwise the length never bothered me. Considering how gunfire can push game out of an area. I like hearing just the crack verses the usual giant boom that echoes across the...
Natdscott summed it up best.
My opinions.
If you have to ask. Even when your being a good little saint minding your own others can still give you drama and bs.
Now if the freezers empty and only thing in the pantry is a box of water mix pancake batter then do what you gotta do. That’s also...
I feel for you. Been there twice. Good old apartments. Never again for me either.
Also sucks that no matter how many times I cleaned and vacuumed out the car for years afterward I still found little pieces of glass here and there. Careful if little ones ride with you often.
HRT builds always look great in my book. Now Joe can spend the next six months shopping for something for that EFR rail. A 24 hour gun is a nice thing to have.
Damn that sucks! Like WTGDF!
Cerakote is nice but spray paint is fast and cheap. Flip a coin. If your already shooting the piss out of it maybe just keep on and add a stainless barrel at some point. For the bolt assembly and such I think I’d lean toward cerakote.
Good stuff already mentioned. I’ll add the Triad Tactical padded rifle case. Kind of like a drag bag, holds lots of stuff and sturdy. Worked ok at a match once as well. 26” barrel plus brake fits with a few inches to spare. Might fit 28” barrel + brake.
I haven’t tried bog pod. Have both tall and short Primos trigger sticks tripods gen2. To flimsy with 15 pound or more rifle. Ok for regular off the store rack rifle under 300 yards. The swivel heads have a lot of wobble but the “V” rest screws off and I tried a pig saddle on it. Still wobbles...
3 day weekend for most. Some people taking off early Thursday. But yeah, fuck anyone who can’t help resolve my problems in a thread I start after 3pm Easter Weekend and I fix it before noon the next day with all this free time in my life. I’ll take my next ten rifle builds elsewhere too and...
