New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Could some of you fellas with experience advise me on questions I should be asking and things I should be looking for when purchasing a used atilla, DBAL, or PEQ15?
I plan on running it with a pvs 14 and would like to use it hunting at night. What are realistic distances for a set up like this...
Re: My boys first Muley
Thanks for all the comments, my boy didn't realize how nice his buck was until he started reading them and we talked about it a bit more.
<span style="font-style: italic">WoW! His first buck goes 30" inches. I cant even count the serious hunters I know that have...
He is starting late (14)by the standards of most but he and his brother both drew youth tags here in Nevada this year, here is his first.
Better than if I was pullin the trigger myself.
He was patient enough to listen to his dad and pass by some nice deer earlier in the...
Re: This AM opening day of youth season
Congrats
My boy didn't understand when I told him that for me hunting with him for his animal was just as gratifying as having my own tag.
Re: Who has built their own night vision?
<span style="font-weight: bold">I also tried to look at the Projects section of your site and encountered a Login/Password prompt</span>
His link is taking me directly in without asking for anything.
So I have had my PVS-14 for 4 days now n I'm like a kid in a candy store. Makes me wonder why I waited so long to get one.
I opted to pass on a weapons mount when I made my original purchase. I was advised that it was better to have your NV on your head so you didn't have to have your weapon up...
Re: pvs-14 J- arm options
<span style="font-weight: bold">What kind of J-arm and mount are you using? </span>

I just received a pvs-14 and after fielding it hunting this weekend I noticed when I attached it to the J-arm the seems to be a fair amount of play in it. As this is my first one could someone tell me if this is normal?
I am impressed with everything about it, other than the J-arm which seems...
Re: First yote in awhile....whoo hoo
Predators are the best hunting around.
I got me a yote on my elk hunt this year. I thought it was gonna be a double they both lined up and my heart was thumpin but, alas I over estimated the distance and shot a bit high. Only ended up with one.
Anyway...

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Packing the animal out is a job of itself.</div></div>
No doubt I only ended up having to pack him about a 150 yds and after three quarters the first night I was beat.
The tag was...
Finally had enough points to pull down a tag this year. All my pics are kinda crappy phone pics, but it's all I can do to remember those most times.
Here was a few days out scouting
When I shot him he was on a the side of a steep hill. One through the front shoulders from the 338...
Re: Wiggy's Sleeping Equiptment
Jong
I have a buddy who would always have to take two bottles one round and the other square. He'd drink from the round and the square one was his urinal on the sub zero nights. He also claimed it was great at keeping him warm.

Sorry bro I needed to...
Re: Wiggy's Sleeping Equiptment
I have a few have used them from -20 to 90 degrees in all conditions between. I have climbed into it wet (not by choice)and woke up in them wet I say these things only to let you know I have really used it.
I would say they on the norm sleep a little cooler...
Re: Rant with Verizon Cellular...
I think Nine hit it on the head. I know if your in vegas and you use the store on craig rd the service is shit, but down the road on civic center I have always been treated very well (thanks Tanya).
