So I recently picked up a Tikka CTR in 260AI. I have never worked with anything AI Before. Question 1: fire forming brass. Should just be load and shoot correct? @madangler1 Its the bell and Carlson Tikka T3 CTR Target/ Competition Stock. 260 AI is pretty Sweet. The sholder angle is changed to 40 Degrees and the case taper is blown out. Hands on Origin/Nucleus at SHOT?
There is a Video on you tube covering big horn and they talk about the Origin Action. Seems pretty neat. Seems to do everything that the TL3 does just with a pinned recoil Lug and made from Chrome Molly instead of Stainless Steel. Mentality behind the Chassis stock vs. more Traditional Tactical stocks?
As much as I like the feeling of MCM or Manners stocks. I love the modularity of a chassis. the ablity to add and remove rail sections for things like bipods, IR devices, night vision and thermals Makes it a far better option than no Chassis systems. I would like to know where you got this piece of info from. I know lots of gunsmiths that will work on damn near anything. Rugers, tikkas, savage, Winchester, custom actions, 700's, Ar's, 1903 Springfield's, mausers.... I find it hard to believe that a smith would say I only work on 700's. Scott- Scotts556
