    6MM Creedmoore & N165

Hey, Guys. I'm looking at having a a 6 Creed built sometime soon and was all set to start sourcing some H4350 to burn when I found 6 lbs of N165 on the shelf left over from some .338 LM loading. H4350 being harder than hell to find and no one jumping up and down to take this N165 off my hands...

    Savage 110BA 338LM

I would get some magnum primers instead of those 215s.. I have not tried WC872, but I have burned several pounds of Retumbo through mine. I have run from 88 to 96 grains. I settled on 93 grains of Retumbo under the 300 berger Hybrid. OAL is 3.710. They are running 2805 and accuracy is .3" @...

What size steel are you shooting out past 1k?

I went from 3/8" to 1/4" mild steel for my 24"X24" mile and beyond target. It's a bit of a hike to set the target up and the thinner metal is considerably lighter. The .338 LM doesn't dent it too badly at that range. I also think it makes a more audible sound, although it has to be pretty...

    Armalite AR-10B Super SASS ?

I had that gun and sold it because I wanted something a little lighter and I also wanted to use PMags. Gun ran flawlessly and was a .75 MOA with both FGMM 168 and Black Hills 175. -Shaky

    .338 lapua hand loads

I run the 300 Berger Hybrid over 93 grains of Retumbo. OAL is 2.710. Magnetospeed says they are running 2805 out of my 26" 110BA. -Shaky

Rifle Scopes Scope for savage 110FCP .338 Lupua

I had this scope on my 110BA .338 LM and am looking for a new one. There is not enough internal elevation to shoot past 1500 yards with a 100 yard zero. Glass is good and it seemed to track fine. I am not sure what I am going to replace it with, but I am leaning towards a NF 5-22X56, if I can...

    Brass Hoarding and the Consequences

I was in the OPs position a few months back, and right or wrong, here's what I ended up doing. I sorted about 1300 pieces of .308 brass by headstamp. Then I decapped and tumbled them all for an extraordinary amount of time. (these were fired from a suppressed gas gun and were extra filthy). I...

    Suppressors Form 4 wait time

Mini 4 paperwork mailed 8/17/2012. Suppressor arrived at dealer2/20/2013. I use a trust. Also, I thought some might like a little perspective on various AAC cans. From left to right: 762-Sd, 762 SDN-6, MINI4. Cheers, Shaky

    Suppressors AAC Customer Service

I have had relatively good experiences with AAC customer service. The first can I ever bought was the old 18 tooth 762-SD. That thing had my REPR sending bullets all over the planet. AAC checked it out and said it was out of spec and replaced it with a 762 SDN-6. Bad thing is I had already...

    .308 Honady 178 HPBT & RL17 Need load

My 20" Kreiger barreled 700 likes 49.2 grains with the 178 AMAX set at mag length. No Heavy bolt, but primers are a little flat. Getting 2680 FPS according to the Magnetospeed. -Shaky

    Does OCW Work?

I tried Newberry's OCW method for the first time several weeks ago on my .308. I loaded a total of 21 rounds to shoot 7 3 shot groups, round robin style at 100 yards. Components were Black Hills brass, recently cleaned and annealed, 178 AMAXs, and Varget. There were two possible charge...

    savage 110ba .338lapua ?s

Re: savage 110ba .338lapua ?s I have one and it has been a love-hate relationship. The love part is the accuracy... It is extremely accurate with 300 SMK, 300 Scenars and 300 Berger OTM Hybrids. Those are the only projos I have tried, but each has been .5 MOA with Retumbo and the Bergers...

    Rock Solid Rifle Stock-R700

Re: Rock Solid Rifle Stock-R700 I was going to start a thread showing off my new stock, but you beat me to it! I also had Todd use a pic rail rather than a stud for the bipod. Hope to get to shoot it tomorrow. -Shaky

Suppressors and Gas Guns! My 2cents

Re: Suppressors and Gas Guns! My 2cents I have about 10,000 rounds of suppressed fire through several different .308s, 5.56s and 300 BLK. Not as much as some, but not an insignificant amount. Everything that George says is right on, but I still shoot almost all of of my rifles with the...

Range Report Sticky bolt 110ba 338lm

Re: Sticky bolt 110be 338lm You might be able to find my post on this in the reloading section. Before you do anything else, find a smith with a set of go gauges and have him or her check it out. I was sticking cases at 88.5 grains of Retumbo with 300 Scenars and 300 Berger Hybrids. The go...

    Suppressors TBAC 338P-1 vs 338BA

Re: TBAC 338P-1 vs 338BA Also, (someone correct me if this is not the case with these suppressors)the brake will take much of the muzzle blast abuse and add life to the can. I would like to hear Zak's opinion on which one is more accurate. My thread on cans seem to affect accuracy less...

    Bulk .223 Parts list

Hey Guys, Some of the guys from the 3 Gun club are talking about getting together to do a few thousand rounds of .223 for practice and matches. I have been tasked with getting the components list together and am looking for a little help. I have checked several websites, and it looks like...

    What chronograph?

Re: What chronograph? I just ordered the Magnetospeed. I am so dang tired of waiting for a cold line at the range, setting up a tripod, fiddling with sky screens and making sure everything is just so, and then missing my reading because the chrony is getting a "reading" off the guy next me...

Brass Cleaning and Annealing for Sniper's Hide Members !!!

Re: Brass cleaning and annealing 12-13-12 UPDATE I had Killshot do 750 pieces of .308 and 300 pieces of 300BLK last month, and it just made me mad that I had not done this before. I was just about to drop $250 for all the stainless tumbling stuff when I saw this thread and decided to give...

Your thoughts on my ladder test results?

Re: Your thoughts on my ladder test results? I'd say you have something good going from 44.5 to 45.5. That doesn't look like more than a couple inches vertical dispersion, and at 500 yards, I think you are in the ballpark. If you are not seeing pressure at 45 grains, I would be tempted to...
