    Can you push a 285 grain bullet fast enough to make up for the lower BC? If I am getting 2750 with a 300 Hybrid, how fast should I expect top be able to send a 285? Just Curious. -J

    Sorry, I just saw this. I have my dies back form Hornady. They gave me a couple different seating dies to play with, but I don't think it helps much. I'm seating at 2.815 OAL right now. I'm going to try seating them a little deeper and see if that makes a difference. -J

    powder for 6 creedmoor

    I've been using RL17 because I couldn't find any H4350 and it has worked very well. 41.3 grains with 105 Hybrids and I get 3115 fps. I just got 16 lbs of H4350, but I'm not going to use it until I go through all the RL17 I have. -J

    20" 1:10 Kreiger, 45 grains of Varget under 178 AMAX in Win. cases @2.810 gets me 2660 on the Magneto Speed. Verified on paper and steel at 1000 yards. 10.6 Mils.

    You should be able to send a 300 SMK @ 2850 out of a 29" tube. It takes 63.7 MOA at seal level to get to a mile with a 100 yd. zero with that bullet at that velocity. -J

    What are you using for targets?

    This is what mine looks like. Super easy to transport and set up. Just drive the two posts in and hang the target in the notches at the top. I use rubber bungee cords instead of chain. I got tired of replacing chain, and the bungee cords seem to absorb shots and lost longer. -J

    Nice shooting, Grizzdude! Do you know your MV? I am using 92 grains of Retumbo to send the Bergers out of my BA at 2750. They are seated at 3.69. My ballistics program says they are subsonic at 2000. Just curious to know if you have chronoed your load. Thanks, -J

    I have the Custom Grade 2 Die Set that I got from GAP. Hornady Customer service says they ship with the AMAX Seater. I'm going to send them back to Hornady and let them try to figure it out. Thanks, -J
