I was wondering how big it really is....I have never made the trip out to it. I have a spot set up down 430 that can get you back to 2350 yards or so and you are about 100 feet about the target so that helps a little bit.- dk17hmr

The Green River range has a plate at 1 mile, I have a couple places around the desert here near Rock Springs set up for 2000+....more than 100 miles from you though.- dk17hmr

Don't shoot the donor!....I have done the same thing, plan on rebarreling something and find out I don't need to. I have several large caliber hunting rifles but find I grab my 30-06 and 280 more often than the 300wsm and 338wm. I keep thinking I want to rebarrel one of my 30-06s to 280 AI...- dk17hmr

280 Remington Thoughts
I would have to look at my notes but I think I am running a 160gr Partition in my 22" barrel at 2825-2830 with Reloader 17.
