    Re: 308 Barrel length it all depends on what kind of shooting you will be doing. 25 inches and up is great for benchrest, but for military sniper/tactical you want a shorter stiffer barrel for more manuverability and harmonics. you may lose a little in velocity, but the mutt on the recieving...
