anyone have a barrel buying guide?

was more looking for a link for a guide that is already written, but here are answers to those questions: intended use is punching paper and shooting steel. normally it will be at 300 but I do have access to a 1000 yard range when I visit my parents so it will see limited use at long ranges...

    Dumb pistol reloading question

I wouldn't use them in a 9mm. I may be overly cautious but i only use bullets with the correct diameter for what i am reloading. Most states have a firearms association website with a classifieds (as well as snipershide, but your state one may enable a FTF transfer) such as calguns.net or...

    Help from someone with quickload

I was hoping that someone could help me out with just a ballpark muzzle velocity. Won't get a chance to chrono it for a week and I'd like to get an idea of roughly how fast these bullets are going (I know there are a lot more variables that will change muzzle velocity, I am just looking for an...

Building it just to build it. As for why, mainly price and because I enjoy building electronic devices.

    Density altitude calculator

I am currently making a density altitude calculator for my son and I to use for precision shooting. It will give alt, temp, humidity and density alt and possibly lat long coordinates. The unit will be small, roughly the size of an altoids tin. I am an engineer so the boards will be...

    depriming

Re: depriming i'm all about doing that if it won't cause any problems. the instructions said to decap prior to running them but if that's only because of cleaning flash hole/primer pocket i'll just do that

Bell and Carlson Vertical grip tactical stock

Re: Bell and Carlson Vertical grip tactical stock the only thing i had to adjust on my timney ona a rem 700 is the bolt release to ensure it was in the groove so it didn't get stuck but with the design of the bolt release there's really no way around having to fine tune that on installation.

    Rifle of the future

Re: Rifle of the future price point will keep these from being widely fielded even if the other obvious flaws don't. you MIGHT have a few rich guys/gals shooting them but most of us will still be doing it the way we are now for a LONG time.
