    Athlon Helos BTR Gen 2 and Grendels -- great combination, IMHO. :cool: 2-12x42 Gen2 AHMR2 mil reticle on a 16.5" AR, 4-20x50 Gen2 APRS6 mil reticle on a 20" Howa mini action. 600 yards, no problem. Great scopes for the cartridge and for the money.

    AHMR2 is a good match to Grendel, IMHO. The Athlon Helos 2-12 FFP is also a nice size for an AR15 vs AR308 or bolt gun. I have no complaints with the Helos 2-12 on my 16.5" Grendel.

    I agree! I put a 2-12x42 on my 6.5 Grendel recce. The rifle weighs 8.5lbs with the scope and mount, which is great for the mag range and FFP reticle you're getting.

    That is the 509T, and the mag is a standard PDP compact mag with a Taran Tactical +5 extension (for PPQ mags, but works just fine). You guys will definitely enjoy shooting your PDP.

    AIM Surplus sells a nice set of suppressor height G19 sights for $39. You even get a fiberoptic front sight. I have Holosun 509T, 507C, and Swampfox Liberty red dots, and none of them will cowitness with the factory sights. I'm guessing if you do find a red dot low enough to see the sights...

    It is a 6.8mm round, but definitely not SPC. SIG's .277 Fury is pretty close to what the Army is looking at.

    Hmm. I don't see how Valk/SPC bolt heads would work with 6ARC considering how much bigger the case head diameter on ARC is.

    It's just removing a couple of internal ribs to allow correct round stacking, but yeah, if you need out of the box compatibility the Six8 mags ain't it.

    It’s an easy fix with a file to make Grendel work 100% in Magpul Six8 mags, even the 30 rounders.
