Thanks for the input. If the barrel nut comes loose (again), I'll try an exta shim. (Plumbers tape is not good, right?) Even though I didn't confirm it, I'm pretty sure I torqued the nut down to within spec. But since I can't say for certain, I'll keep an eye on it as a break the rifle in.- Deepwoods

I recently built a Mega and went with the Wilson Combat TRIM rail. Its fit and finish was good, but the color of the black was very different than that of the Mega upper/ lower. Best Cheek Weld stock

LMT .308 Modular Weapon System 18" Match Grade Barrel with 1:11 Twist
I've shot both my 20" SS and my 16" CL to 1000 once. I'm getting 2605 fps with 175 SMK (and 7.62 FGMM runs about the same) out of the longer barrel. Rifle Scopes Vortex AR thread
Rockhopper, I have an SPR onto which I mounted Vortex's 2.5-10 x 44 scope, with the MOA reticle/ turret. I realize it isn't exactly what you're considering, but...
