Are precision .22 rimfires ammo picky or

The point of anything is to excel at it, sports, competitions, the Olympics etc are designed to produce winners, I don't find myself wanting to get out of bed to produce average results. I want to win by producing the very best possible. The guys winning at matches, finales, world championships...

Are precision .22 rimfires ammo picky or

Spot on, which is why I chose my wording the way I did. I had a lot of midas+ that would shoot basically the same one hole 5 shot groups in every barreled action we built and tested. Other lots will group similarly across multiple barrels we do. If it is a .2 it will do .2 across many, if it is...

Are precision .22 rimfires ammo picky or

Barrels are different from one to another but we have seen a trend over 300 barrels or so.

Are precision .22 rimfires ammo picky or

We have more .22s being shot than ever before in the history of .22, how can we not know more and have answers?

    Why do you like rimfire?

not exactly but some people are more worried about eating than following man-made rules.

Are precision .22 rimfires ammo picky or

I edited to clarify, the process of chambering/crown. The same parts are available to anyone yet some rifles perform better than others across a wider variety of ammo and lots.

    Why do you like rimfire?

I see you are not from east Texas lol, plenty of deer have succumbed to the lowly .22 ;)

Are precision .22 rimfires ammo picky or

Does the process (how it is chambered/Crowned) dictate how a good lot of ammo performs? and I am speaking using quality match ammo(Lapua, Eley, RWS, Norma Match)

    Why do you like rimfire?

Truth be told there has probably been more food put on the table by a .22 than any other caliber. I have to see a practical purpose to do anything fun.

Unavailable Lefty Vudoo 360 - What to do now

The action itself and the bolt are what makes it a left hand or right hand.

What are you worried about breaking? plenty of 50,000 plus round vudoos on original parts?

    Tuner Weight

The 1.250 barrels seem to work with a 4 OZ weight like the EC V2, I was going to make a post asking for the consensus on how far from the end people have to turn the tuner to come into a tune.

    Why do you like rimfire?

Agreed, the new friendships have been the best experiences since I started shooting rim fire in 2017. Doing this for a living now is icing on the cake. The conversations with new people I meet at a match or a new build are some of the most rewarding.

    Why do you like rimfire?

For me it was the actual fun in shooting without all the noise but then the competetiveness creeped in. Now I seem to enjoy the art of what makes a rimfire accurate and repeatable. My saturdays are normally spent doing honeydues and or shooting but here lately I find comfort and peace in...

    MullerWorks Barrel Run out

I install the truing fixture in the same spot each time to cut down on the time I spend to indicate it in. Think of a 4 jaw chuck and a spider at the rear of a conventional lathe. The truing fixture I slide the barrel in is the 4 Jaw and spider in one. The indicator is attached to the turret...

    MullerWorks Barrel Run out

In the video above the difference is 0.0050 the thickness of a human hair. You will not see that with the naked eye. This video is of a barrel that is out quite a bit yet tenon is true to bore.

Forgot to answer your 2 other questions, The outside will match the inside after it is cut. The crown is done the same way. If I think about it I'll video the next one after I cut the tenon
