1 WEEK LEFT: This Target Haunts Me Contest
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Basically, to answer your question more accurately, You would have to know your case capacity, actual bullet length, COAL, powder used and it would still be a S.W.A.G. Using QuickLoad to guestimate the velocities at each barrel time node.
Believe it or not, velocity and barrel time are irrispective of each other. Two bullets with the same muzzle velocity can have different barrel times, depending on the burn rate of the powder and when and where the pressure curve is. I assumed trying to acheive the same mv with my barrel would...
How many times has your brass neen fired? Have you annealed? Neck tension diminishes after several firings if you don’t anneal. There is a reason military rounds are fmj with canalures and roll crimp!
I have .300 winmag brass I’ve fired 10 times that have never been full length sized (necksized only) and still chamber perfectly. I just bump the shoulder 1 or 2 thous and gtg. I had to anneal after 5 firings because neck tension was diminishing and primer pockets are starting to loosen but...
I really like BallisticArc. Especially the gps range feature. I've been using another app to measure distance and it's nice to have it all in one app. JBM solution is top notch too. Shot angle, direction are easy to set. Integrates with anemometers. Really can't ask for more.
