Rifle Scopes Identify Scope
I bought a gun online sight unseen with a scope on it that I don't know what it is. I won't get to see the gun in person for a few weeks. All I know is that it is a fixed 6x and I have these 2 pictures. Any ideas what the scope could be? It doesn't appear like any old junk 6x scopes I know of...- Mordamer

There is absolutely nothing wrong with anything in your pictures. The marks in the throat and on the start of the lands are an unavoidable byproduct of chambering a barrel. They are made by the reamer. They will be gone in another 50 or less rounds.- Mordamer

So what makes a barrel accurate?
A perfect barrel in my opinion would have the following qualities over it's entire length: -Groove diameter exactly on caliber size. -Bore diameter exactly on specified bore size. -All grooves the same width. -All lands the same width. -Each groove the same depth. -Each land the same profile...- Mordamer

So what makes a barrel accurate?
You mean precise instead of accurate. Generally, correct and consistent internal bore/land/groove dimensions from one end to the other and a good internal surface finish.- Mordamer

There are tons of bullets that can handle way more than 300k RPM. It's pretty easy to get 100 and shoot them and find out. 300k is just a rule of thumb and is going to be on the conservative side because it is a number provided by the bullet manufacturer. I got the 62 ELD-VT up to 3,800 FPS in a 22 Creed 1:8 twist and they didn't blow up. At least they didn't blow up until they hit the coyote. Entrance wound, no exit.- Mordamer

Reloading Equipment Gone
I decided to make life simple and just stick with 6 Dasher. The performance of the 25 GT is great though. I placed top 5 in the only 2 Pro PRS matches I used the cartridge in and 13th at the PRS finale with it. I also placed 1st in the only regional match I used it in.
