Gunsmithing Anyone ever seen this before (Savage)
Seen it a bunch. It's either blasting media done before the finishing of the barreled action by Savage or it's intentionally put on the threads for some reason. Suppressors Newbie suppressor owner - Condensation causing pressure?
I've had the same experience multiple times with different suppressors and different cartridges and rifles. If I shoot fast like on a timed PRS stage everything is normal. It would work perfect with just a tiny amount of material removed at the rear of the bolt notch. I've done it several times and it's easy to make it look good. It's a spot no one sees so you hit it with the Dremel until it clears and put some black touch up paint on it.- Mordamer
