    DPMS Repr jamming issues

Whatever "tier" they are in has nothing to do with cost. That said, the most expensive DPMS should not cost more than $2k, or you're getting ripped off. Their manufacturing tolerances, finishing quality and quality control leave a lot to be desired. People often mistake accuracy for quality...

    DPMS Repr jamming issues

If you use good lube, fouling shouldn't be a concern for reliability until you get to the extremes. I have an AR with almost 10k rounds through it since it was last cleaned, and it still has no mechanical malfunctions. This isn't just with AR15s. Quality ARs in all calibers should be able to...

    precision Ak???

Sig 556xi is also not an AK. Different tolerances and design concepts. If I was gonna get a 7.62x39 platform, that would be the one I'd probably go with though. OP- It's an AK. You can get it down to respectable accuracy if you're willing to spend the large amount of money needed to get...

    DPMS Repr jamming issues

Lube the shit out of it, cycle the bolt a couple dozen times, and then shoot it. Eliminate that as an issue. A lot of new ARs need to be lubed up. Cleaning a rifle also removes lubricant, and DI ARs are best when shot "wet". I also wouldn't classify DPMS as a "mid to higher end AR". You...

Rifle Scopes does trijicon's accupoint have enough elevation for long range work

The Trijicon Accu-Point line are antiquated. If you like them, fantastic. You might want to broaden your horizons and look around before you commit to one, however. There are deals to be had with scopes that are demonstrably better, be they used or clearance. If you look right now, Vortex...

    Rifle Scopes $2,000 scope. WHY?!

The best scope I've ever had to date has been my Leupold Vari-X II 1-4x20mm shotgun scope that I use on my Benellit SBE upper for deer hunting. Decent glass, but the damn thing is dented to hell and insanely reliable. I almost sold it on here a couple years ago, and got a ton of offers for it...

    Rifle Scopes scope ?

I helped my brother pick out a scope for his rifle, and I wound up getting him setup with the Redfield Revolution 4-12x. The BattleZones that I looked through had a lot of tunneling. The Revolutions didn't, and the they were fantastic quality with good glass. Keep in mind that the Redfield...

    Experienced rifleman please chime in....

The key to everything is the mag. If you have a quality in-spec mag, it's all fine. Far too many .mil and .LE groups run shit mags, or good mags that went to shit. Once a mag is fucked, it's permanently fucked. It's a wear item, but people treat them like they're fucking gold. I severely...

    Experienced rifleman please chime in....

Be careful what you pick up at the range. I can't tell you how many times I've heard people talk out of their asses and believe every fucking word of it. This is especially pertinent to people who are military. I'm not saying this about guys here because everything here is fine. However...

Having issues with rounds jamming in the chamber..help me!!

You may also be dealing with a .223 vs 5.56 compatibility issue. Wouldn't be the first time a sub-optimal AR company has sold a 5.56 rifle that couldn't chamber 5.56 or edge-of-tolerance .223.

    Opinion on SBR lower

Lowers are not that expensive. Pick up another lower from someone else if you have any reservations.

Trade in bolt gun for a semi auto

My experience with my former Springfield M1A Loaded mimicked BCP's. My rifle wasn't bedded, but it was mounted in a JAE-100 stock with barrel tensioner. On a cool bore I could get just over 1moa, but once the barrel heated up, 1.5moa was the best I could muster with match ammo. My...

    BCM KMR 15 handguard

I have a KMR13 and have done some pretty extensive shooting with it using a DD low-profile 16" barrel. No heat issues. It actually stayed cooler than the DD MFR12.0 that was previously on that rifle. The handguard is very rigid, and yes it's insanely light. I was in an EAG Tactical course...

    8 inch or 8.5 inch 5.56 barrel

I built a 7.5" 5.56mm SBR as a test gun for our drug task force. The purpose was for a vehicle-borne operations carbine. It was basically a worthless project that created nothing but headaches. Literally. The pressure from the muzzle was tremendous and gave people sinus headaches...

    55 gr. VMax, COM hits

In contrast, there are LE agencies that have used Hornady VMAX TAP Urban loads that have had failures to stop due to shallow penetration. Below is what Hornady claims will happen. If you want the real deal on this kind of load, go over to Lightfighter.net, M4Carbine.net or Arfcom and...

    M1a jae stock or EBR

I got mine in under 6mo, but this was way back in the early days. If I had to wait a year or more, I'd get a different stock. The JAE-100 is a great stock, but it's most certainly not worth waiting 2 years for. Especially not when there are other quality options like the EBR, McMillan, Troy, etc.

    KAC SR25 ER Problem (under-gassed?)

Here's the other question- saying you shot ___ different factory loads doesn't mean anything if it's ammo that is not up to spec. What specifically have you been shooting?

    'Budget' 308 carbine build suggestions

According to the guys at Geissele, the G2S might have a slightly gritty feel initially, but after a couple dozen cycles, it smooths out and you cannot tell the difference between the two. The same with the G2SE. I have a G2SE in the works for my MKM build.
