    Advanced Marksmanship Bullet question.

The designers of hunting bullets have terminal ballistics as their first priority. The designers of Target/match bullets used in competition have external ballistics as their first priority.

    Stubborn Carbon Ring Removal

you will need to use an abrasive like iooso to get that stubborn carbon out. Post #50 gives a good procedure but I use Iooso on a cotton patch wrapped tightly around a jag.

anyone have to learn to shoot left eyed?

Hope your situation improves. If there is a will, there is a way. Jeff Cochran, former US National F-Class champ and top shooter, has Keratoconus in his right eye, shoots with his left https://www.6mmbr.com/gunweek063.html

Les Baer AR rifles (.223 flavor )

I have a Les Baer super varmint in 264 LBC (same as 6.5 Grendel with exception of chamber throat). It is my “fun gun.” Quarter MOA but not the one hole shooter that the sample target shows.

    Fouling shots?

I clean ‘til my borescope shows the carbon is gone. Two Bartlein Barrels. 3-5 foulers before they are ready To go. Of course I’m also using those shots for a wind baseline.

    Fouling shots?

The best bench rest and F-Class shooters with top of the line barrels shoot “foulers” before they go for record. As posted above, the barrel will tell you when it is ready.

Why doesn't the US get rid of guns?

Thanks for the excellent post. Locke was a classical liberal. I AM A CLASSICAL LIBERAL. What you say? what is this idiot doing on a gun website!! Read this definition of what true “classical” political liberals stood for in the 18th through the early 20th century: Liberalism is an ideology...

    Custom actions

To answer your question: yes there is a difference between custom actions. What separates the top quality actions from others is tolerance (not the rail, lug, throw, nitride finish). Simple as that. more precise and closer tolerances translate to better accuracy. and yes the barrel is most...

    Ingenuity Precision trickler

My preorder number was 24616 and delivered this past Saturday. When you get the email and you pay for the final order, the system generates a new final order number. My trickler was delivered under order number 25246. I think that’s where the confusion comes in.

    Bore scope Recommendations

This advice is spot on. I love my Teslong. It does the opposite of creating anxiety. Before I had one, I would second guess my cleaning methods. Now, after seeing the carbon completely removed I put the rifle away in the safe and rest knowing it’s ready for any comp.

    Cold bore question

if your point of impact is shifting as the barrel heats up, you have a poorly bedded rifle (stock issues) or a barrel with internal stresses. This occurs frequently on cheap hunting rifles with a pencil contour barrel. Rifles with a properly bedded stock and a quality barrel—Bartlein, Brux...

    Best Factory 308 & 6mmBR ammo

A lot of good suggestions for factory ammo in above replies. i found that rifles can be finicky about which ammo they prefer. Before i started loading my own, I had a GAP Hospitaller. I tried FGMM and a few other premium brands. That rifle just shot it’s best with Hornady match 178 gr...

Rifle Scopes Okay, what am I missing here...

Ok yes I see what you are saying. The 17.5 mils is about 60 MOA of play. Plenty. I didn’t read back and was thinking 17.5 MOA.

Rifle Scopes Okay, what am I missing here...

You’ve got 40 MOA (11.6 mils) cant on your scope effectively putting your POI way high at 100 Yards. Dial your scope all the way down and shoot it at 25 yards into a large target. a piece of cardboard with 36” height would work. Measure the distance between POA and POI, and then use your...

    Help on accuracy please

Yes I would have expected at least 2.5k life. But that’s all subjective. I’ve only had good experiences with Bartlein.
