Rifle Scopes Vortex PST 6-24 FFP MRAD vs Bushnell G2DMR 3.5-21

I have several friends that have the Vortex PST 6-24 and in comparing it to my Bushnell HDMR H59 that I recently installed on a rifle, I have to say I'm happy with my decision. My sense is that the extra dollars you would spend on the Bushy goes into a beefier, more rugged and robust/substantial...

boredum got the best of me...

Did you have a particular method to make sure it was aligned to the bore axis? If it works, it's good to go!

Bigwheels, I've got a couple of weeks off before I start a new job. I was thinking of heading up to Acme on a weekday to get some shooting in. I've got some extra steel plates, posts, and hangars I can bring out. Maybe we can get a group of guys on here to come out... Anyone interested?

Training ideas for sharpshooter classes, other than shooting

Improvised shooting positions, using whatever is at hand. Or bring out some different gear like shooting sticks, shooting tripod, or a tactical match barrier (e.g. a stair step barrier), to teach different techniques and have your students try them out.

    22 ammo stock

Curious to hear if you guys have any tips to pass along on how you've been able to score .22LR ammo at your LGS or the big box stores (e.g. Wally World, Cabelas, Dicks, etc.)

    Amax or Berger?

Good choice on the Amax. If you're relatively new to long-range shooting the Amaxs will be a great choice because of the lower cost of being able to practice and develop your fundamentals.

Thanks for the heads up Joe. I got an order in for 500 with Midway USA, so this should top off my supply through this fall.

You're more than welcome to come by my place and borrow my table saw I have for an extended period of time for these types of projects. I only use it a few times a year and would happy to let you use it.

We found two of your big square targets up at the site, but they were taken down and placed off to the side like in the leaves/brush. So it seemed like no one had touched them since you last used them. We also found a spray can of paint up there, wasn't sure if you left that there or not, so we...

Pushing this small group shoot announcement to the top. If you have Memorial Day morning free and want to shoot at some steel out to 900+ yards, a small group of us are going to the Acme site (about 1.5 hours north of Seattle). We're looking to get an early start. If you want to come out please...
