    How much weight is your optic? There may be some savings by going to lighter optic and losing the PRS. I would just hate to potentially lose money on a trade. Secondly, you could probably pick up a grendel, 6.8 Spec II or cheap LR-308 which would meet your hunting needs in an auto-loader...

    Gunsmithing cutting down barrel?

    I have one cut down. My rifle is more accurate with the 20" vs the 26". I've noted accuracy elsewhere. Tough call on 20" vs 22 or 24. You will even find some guys going shorter for only 600 yards. I don't have chrono numbers, but it takes 17 moa to get to 600 with 168 FGMM.
