How much to push Hornady brass?

You have nodes at 41.7 (2765) and 42.5 (2795). That's 30 fps. Run some ballistics out to your maximum intended range usage at both velocities and compare. It will be a couple tenths each way, if that. Honest opinion, you're concerned about brass longevity, so run the 41.7. And no 41.7 isn't...

    New Berger 6.5 bullet

https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/new-berger-6-5mm-144gr-lrht.6974645/page-2 I’ve got a few posts on both pages of that thread. Overall, not too much changed, but a nice bump in BC for the same velocity.

Shooting Tripods? Which One? Need Advice.

RRS or nothing. They are that good. I started with the PIG and Anvil. Went to the RRS TFCT-34L with no regrets.

    Drop charts on rifle?

https://www.hawkhillcustom.com/store/p45/Rifle_Mounted_Data_%22Dope%22_Card_Holder_-_Picatinny_Mount.html I've been please with the Hawk Hill unit for matches. It keeps the data in your view, so no breaking cheek weld to view a rifle side or wrist coach. I keep it in the low position for a...

    6.5 vs 260

6.5 just works better from standard mag length. Load the 260 long, and you can get to the next node up. You can't do this is a standard short action or AR-10 platform. Long action of any type or AW mags will allow you to seat bullets longer. Coming from a die hard 260 guy, the 6.5 simply fixes...

Berger 144 Long Range Hybrid Target - Jump? Jam?

Check out this thread: https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/new-berger-6-5mm-144gr-lrht.6974645/ For comparison, I'm shooting a .260 Rem, and I'm also at 42.5 H4350 in Lapua brass with a CCI BR2. I am loaded quite long at 2.960" which is 0.040" off the lands. 26" Bartlein plus a TBAC...

Maggie’s Can Am vs Honda ATVs?

I beat the piss out of a Honda Foreman 400 and Rubicon 500 growing up. Both we tough. I preferred the 400 due to the manual transmission. Mostly usual maintenance as in oil, air filter, and a set of tires and brakes occasionally. Did have to put swing arm bushings in the 400 after so long. No...

    New Berger 6.5 bullet

I agree the 153.5 will be a bit much for 260/6.5CM case capacity. I played with the 150 SMK, and I wasn't really impressed with the velocities. Twist rate really starts to come into play with the 260/6.5CM velocities for this heavy of a bullet. I switched from the 140 Hybrid to the 144 LRHT...

Range Report Group size means little

I agree the average radius give the better weighted measurement. Have you seen this thread: https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/reloading-for-the-ar-15-the-accuracy-node-detection-technique.6996839/#post-8444830 I feel it give a proper load development technique.

    Accuracy International Comp Trigger Poll

I've installed the comp trigger as it was delivered. No complaints at all. Well, there was one time it surprised me on a tripod during a stage. I still hit a 6" round plate at 350. I was on target when I got on the trigger, but I guess I went straight through the first stage. I did send the...

    AR 223 thread size?

I was in this same boat a short while ago. I have a 30 cal direct thread can with 5/8-24 threads. I wanted a new barrel for my AR-15. I chose the 5/8-24 threads for the new barrel. I can thread my can on AND there are muzzle devices for AR-15 in the 5/8-24 because of the .300BO. There's also the...

    New Berger 6.5mm 144gr LRHT

I really wanted the 147 to work when I tested it, but I hit pressure way too soon. I had pressure at 41.5 and 42.0 of H4350 at 2720 fps. The 144 lets me get the bullet up out of the case. Since I'm shooting a 260, a fair amount of the bearing surface is down in the case with the ELD line of...

    New Berger 6.5mm 144gr LRHT

2.960” seems to be the average. I get a few plus or minus that. 2.995” is touching the lands. This is in a .260 Rem with around 0.145”-0.150” freebore. I seem to be 40-50 thou longer than most 6.5CM. I’m running in AW mags as well.
