    Digital is noting more than a sensor from a digital camera with the IR filter removed. Digital does not have the light amplification abilities of normal night vision yet at least in civilian markets. For a better explanation one of the techy guys will have to jump in I'm just a shooter.

    Great story! This was one of my closest kills. Heard this guy crashing to my left I could just catch glimpses of him between the trees. He came out right in front of me and snorted. He was my first IR laser kill and was about 4-5 feet away!!!!

    You are correct the benefit of taking out the lead sow is to confuse the rest of the group and get multiple kills out of that encounter. The only reason I shot the one sow in the video was for my guest to have targets the upcoming weekend and to demonstrate the confusion on video.
