Night Vision Boar down with a hang fire.

This is the w1000-9 it was hot and 90% humidity but still worked very well.

Night Vision Boar down with a hang fire.

This was the first hang fire for me ever it threw me off. Seems quick in the video but seemed much longer between click and boom real time. Earlier in the night another hunter had a squib round shooting PNW subsonics the bullet lodged far enough back that the next round did not chamber he is...

Night Vision Boar down with a hang fire.

I seem to have located some bad primers. In this video you will see me shoot the hog but he takes off. So not knowing if hes fatally wounded or not I try to hit him again. The second shot is a hang fire I squeeze the trigger the hammer hits a pause then fire. Third shot was normal, fourth...

    Night Vision Front yard hogs!

I would say the .308 followed by the blackout. A .223 will kill them but there is less room for error they can be extremely tough beast at times.

    Night Vision Front yard hogs!

16" barrel really no need to go longer, from what I understand you only gain about 50 fps per each additional inch with the 6.8 there is virtually no recoil. I am thinking of getting a light ar10 like the DPMS recon G2 because I have tons of .308 ammo, and because well I like new toys.

    Night Vision Front yard hogs!

They are great for hogs and coyotes. Wounds like these are not uncommon.

    Night Vision Front yard hogs!

I tried several bullets for the 6.8 started with the 110gr pro hunters since the 165gr version is what I used in my .308 with great success, they were accurate but every hog took multiple hits almost sold the 6.8 because of them. Then I tried the monolith barnes 95gr ttsx they were good but...

Brucellosis, Pseudorabies, Hoof and mouth. Quail were my passion also the fire ants did a number on them in the 90's hogs have about finished the job. For the kid goats and fawns I'm pretty sure myself that is is rare although there are several game camera pics floating around of hogs with...

Night Vision Another sounder wiped out.

A bunch of those were given to the ranch hands and their families. But now most peoples freezers are full of all the pork they have room for. In the winter I will take the back straps out of some. And I give it to my dogs to supplement their dog food. But for the most part they feed the...

Night Vision Another sounder wiped out.

I have used those traps on my friends ranch but eventually the hogs learn not to go in. Even with the live video feed some are outside and see what goes down after that they will never go in and teach others not to. The best eradication plan is to trap and shoot. But I will say this I have...

Night Vision Another sounder wiped out.

This particular group was approximately 60-70 yards for the first shot. The second encounter the first one was maybe 20-30 yards the last few were to 50-70 yards. If I'm shooting with my pvs-14 with 3x behind a eotech I like to be 40-50 yards. Any closer is to close and makes it harder...

Night Vision Video of sounder number two from this weekend.

No I guess I need to do that. My only experience so far with dvr's is the angle eye and the MDVR from Ultimate. I don't think any of the videos on their site are mine. Overall I am very happy with the MDVR. There is a battery that can be removed but I have not tried to source a spare...
