Night Vision TRIJICON MKIII 4.5/60mm or 2.5/35mm

I own a MKII 35mm and love it. If you consistently have hunting areas where you can engage at 300 - 400+ yards go 60mm. If the majority of your hunting is 300 and under, then IMO the 35mm is a better choice do to the greater FOV. The greater FOV makes follow up shots so much easier. Either...

    RRS Anvil Ball Head ?

I asked this question earlier with no response, but wasn't aware the 24L package was not yet available. Now that both are available, if anyone gets a chance to shoot both I'd be very interested in your comparison comments. Thanks in advance.

Suppressors Who is your favourite suppressor dealer in DFW?

Wow, I didn't know Modern Outfitters had a store in DFW. I bought a couple of guns from the MS location a few years ago. Good to know. If you can't find what you want local, I've bought several suppressors through: http://www.capitolarmory.com They make the process pretty simple, but it will...

    RRS Anvil Ball Head ?

Trying to decide on one of the Anvil 30 packages, the 24L vs. 34. Anyone who has shot with both tripods, did you feel any lack of stability with the series 2 tripod compared to the series 3? I like the added height with the 24L should I choose to use it with my spotting scope, but in all...

How do you guys mark your gear?

Was at a match years ago, and while out on the course someone broke into my truck and stole all my cleaning gear, gunsmith kit, extra ammo, Leica Binos. It was over $2k worth of stuff. Still pisses me off to this day. I've been robbed so many times I've developed trust issues...

    Carbon rings..

Had wild pressure spikes with my 4S and H1000 last year. Couldn't figure out what the hell was going on. Lost a bunch of brass due to the pressure. Figured it was something wrong with my loading. Found out about carbon rings. Bought the Lyman borescope and found the problem. Well worth the...

    Portable Bench Rests

I've been using one of these: Legacy Shooting Bench Quality product, and a bit cheaper than some of the other benches I was looking at. I'm often helping others learning to shoot, or sighting in a new rifle etc... And have had to help several that due to physical limitations are unable to...

My Labradar reads the wind now

If it's windy I just tie down my tripod. Some 550 cord and some tent spikes and it's rock solid. Aiming device, I made one out of a small eye drop tube which works well. I do the power off thing as well. I can't seem to get myself to remember how to get back to where I want to be.

Night Vision Ir hunter mk ll 20mm vs 35mm

Clarity - no difference. All scopes use the same core processing. BUT the target will be bigger in the higher objective scopes. So yes, you'd be able to see it better. Having said that, if you are wanting ranges between 25 - 500 your best bet is the 35mm IMO. Tried using my MKII as a clip on...

Night Vision Ir hunter mk ll 20mm vs 35mm

It would be wise to kinda figure out what kind of range you would like to engage out to on a regular basis. Along with what FOV you can be satisfied with. If all your shots are going to be sub 200 yards then the 20mm makes the most sense. If you want to engage out to 350/400 ish then 35mm...

    Night Vision reaper-IR, and batteries

I use this system on my IRD MKII: http://www.ultimatenightvision.com/USB-Power-Adapter-p/unvirdadpt.htm It will run my scope for 18 hours, and has worked really well for me.

    Night Vision raptor m646

Sorry, not really. They just don't come up for sale very often. My 4X was worth around 6k when new, I'd guess it would hopefully be worth 3k now, but maybe less. Works too good to get rid of at this point... I think the D760 NV scope can be had around 4.5k new. The Raptor is a better scope, but...

    Night Vision raptor m646

Been using the 4X for many years now, but am fearful it will be a large paperweight if it ever breaks down. Spectacular scope as Vic said, but not very fond of the ARMS mount that you're forced to use with it. If you really want a NV scope IMO you're better off going with one that can still be...

New GAP Extreme Hunter in 6.5 SAUM

Not many have them yet. A few hundred were sent out for testing. George Gardner had this to say: After Initial Testing on the 135 JLK I can tell you this weight class is spot on for the 6.5 4S . Pointed G1 is .645-.650 G7 .330 62-62.5 of H1000 is the sweet spot and nets 3150 without any...
