    "I wish they made a ______?"

As a result of reading on here which led me to read on precisionrifleblog.com, I struck on an idea for a breakthrough in muzzle break design. But since I do in fact intend on manufacturing it, I won't give paticulars until I get a provisional patent filed. Thanks to the people who gave some...

Suppressors Muzzle abnormality ? (w/photos) - Tikka CTR

It is a valid option. And echoing what Shane said, most things that get an internal thread will have at least a 45° chamfer, and many muzzle brakes and suppressors have a counterbore which is even better. It will probably all thread on there just fine, but if it needs to be timed, washers with...

Suppressors Muzzle abnormality ? (w/photos) - Tikka CTR

As soon as he gets some dimensions to me, I'll be making him a set of flat washers. I'm thinking 7 of them, each .005 thicker than the last. That will give just over a whole revolution of adjustment on a 24 pitch thread, in approximately 1/8 turn increments.

    "I wish they made a ______?"

I was already thinking a sort of sharp point. If you just had one point it could sink too far into mud and the like, but with if it branched into three little legs at the bottom they would limit how far it could sink. 3" diameter sounds pretty big. I was picturing 2 at the most. The thing could...

    "I wish they made a ______?"

I like the I like this idea. I know I had to make do with a folding chair/soft ice chest/backpack in my pop-up blind bow hunting. It was terrible. The biggest thing it lacked was a swivel. If I needed to turn, it always made a bunch of noise. And it was almost the right height. Almost. I'm...

    "I wish they made a ______?"

Yeah, I understand if you want to keep an idea to yourself. I was just looking for ideas from those who do want to share.

    "I wish they made a ______?"

I actually didn't join to crowdsource ideas. I joined to buy a rifle and scope, learn, and get into competition. I've been doing a ton of reading on here over the last few days and it got me thinking. But yes, I am asking for ideas for a business, and I'm not trying to be sneaky about it. If you...

    "I wish they made a ______?"

I would love to start a business in in the firearms/hunting industry, but I need some ideas for products. I figured with all the combined experience on here, surely we can come up with something good. So have you been out shooting and thought "I wish somebody made a ________?" Let me know! Any...

Suppressors Muzzle abnormality ? (w/photos) - Tikka CTR

I am a machinist, and it is impossible to thread all the way to a shoulder. You either cut a thread relief or pull out of the thread before you get to the shoulder. A thread relief makes things weaker, so if I was threading a barrel I wouldn't cut a relief. As long as a brake/suppressor contacts...

    Rifle Scopes ebr-1 vs ebr-2

Open center or complete crosshair does not matter too much to me, although I think I would like the open center just a smidgen more. Using the tree for dialing corrections seems like it would be really usefull, so I think I will hold out for a ebr-2c. Now I just have to be patient and watch for...

    Rifle Scopes ebr-1 vs ebr-2

Hmm I hadn't even thought of using it to mark impacts and adjust. I was only thinking about holdoffs when you don't have time to dial. Where I will be hunting, the only opportunity for long range is on a dirt road where a gas pipeline was installed. At roughly 12 yards wide, if something pops...

    Rifle Scopes ebr-1 vs ebr-2

Looking for thoughts on vortex reticles. I am planning on getting a used Razor Gen 2 4.5-27x56 in mrad, and I figured that I would probably like an ebr-2c reticle, but I am finding some good deals on ebr-1c's. I guess what I want to know is, those who have ebr-2c reticles, how much do you use...

Unless I just haven't gotten the stuff yet, I will probably start out handloading. I have no problem making consistent rounds, and factory match grade ammo is not tuned to a specific rifle. So if I don't work up a load and just go with a somewhat random velocity, as long as everything is...

Well I could have a rifle and scope this weekend, but I try to buy everything at a steal-of-a-deal. I'm looking for the guy who needs money ASAP and will take a lower price to get cash in hand. That means I have to be patient and keep looking for that deal. I might go ahead and buy reloading...

When and where is the next match? I doubt I will be able to get the rifle, scope, and skill I need by then, but I might come watch and talk to people.

Why do you like the H2CMR? I need to do some reading about reticles. So far, I don't think I've seen one I wouldn't like. Except for the Horus. A little bit too crowded for me. I had not heard of Tikka until a few days ago. What makes them a good rifle? How is the stock trigger? Is there any...

CV_Ag, you said in another thread that you just shot a certain match near me last weekend. If you don't mind me asking, how much do you figure you spent on the match? Entry fee, ammo, etc.? I am interested in those, but want to know how hard to expect my wallet to be hit.

My budget is kind of whatever I want it to be. I have never owned a quality scope before, so I don't even know how to objectively evaluate one. I guess that is my biggest problem in selecting a scope. Anybody have a methodical way to evaluate a scope? When I look at two scopes with similar...
