Everyone is giving good advice. Here is what I have found to be a 100% guaranteed diagnosis tool. Try it and you will see.
Buy some of the aluminum dummy rounds. Grab 2 of them and 5 live rounds and load them into a mag with your eyes closed. Load the mag into the rifle with the bolt closed...
Federal Gold Medal Match comes loaded with 168 and 175 grain sierra Match kings. It used to be the gold standard and cost about $1.50 a round. Now there are lots of other options. It is still very good and you can pick it up for almost half. Keep an eye out at Palmetto State Armory for good...
I use to measure every case on the neck just reward enough of the mouth to prevent inconsistencies after sizing. I also measured every bullet just reward of the tip after seating.
As an aside, one day I shot groups with various amounts of runout and didn’t find any correlation between group...
If you have enough experience to know exactly what need/want, go for the TL3 now. I’ve found that I usually buy what I really wanted in the end so why waste time and money on anything else.
If you've not been shooting much and arent sure what you like and how you’d use it, I’d go a cheaper...
I started with a remington 700 SPS in 308. If I were to do it again, I’d start with a Ruger Precision Rifle. By the time you change out the stock you’re in the same price range. The RPR accepts magazines and is threaded out of the box. Plus you can purchase prefit barrels for it.
You need to...
I really like the Leupold ERT 6.5-20. The TMR reticle has good thickness over the full mag range. The turrets have good feel, spacing and clicks. The glass is good and clear. And it tracks repeatedly. Used ones show up in the post exchange frequently in the 1k range. It’s tempting not to pic up...
I have 2 decent scopes in ADM mounts that I swap between a couple rifles. One is a 20 MOA cant that I swap between ARs and the other is a parallel mount that I swap between bolt rifles that have 20 MOA rails. Most of the time I shoot one rifle for a while then move the optic to a different...
I either have my barrels cut to a bolt that I provide or check them with go/nogo guages. I have never seen a headspace problem cause a catastrophic problem but I’d rather be safe than sorry. I’d be concerned with a barrel that already has some incorrect machining.
As far as the gas block make...
It's not what they are banning today. It's why they are banning it and what that will lead to tomorrow. Allowing the ban is agreeing that there is an "acceptable" cyclic rate. It's saying that firearms are ok to a point. Today the rate is enhanced semi auto. Tomorrow it is regular semi auto...
In order to prepare for the questions and be able to respond appropriately, I suggest looking at gunfacts.info. It has lots of statistics and information to combat gun control myths. For example there is an entire page focused on dispelling the myth that other countries with strict gun control...
I'm only have a little experience turning necks but I've always attributed the bump to the case lengthening. The thicker unturned wall that was at the shoulder has extruded into the neck. I typically fireform the brass before I neck turn to reduce the lengthening and therefore the bump.
Perhaps you could look in them with a light. You can typically see the primer through the flash hole.
I haven't personally experienced an issue due to a clogged flash hole but I think you are more likely to experience a hangfire than a squib. You'd want to be careful to keep the rifle pointed...
I find the Norma TAC 223 to shoot very well. You can get it around $0.40 per round if you look and you're left with Norma Brass for reloading after you shoot the cheap factory stuff.
If you are particular about uniform chamfers go with the Redding competition inside chamfer tool. It has a pilot that aligns the tool in the flash hole.

It depends. If your barrel is decent then yes, you should be getting better than 1 MOA. If the barrel is holding you back then no, the stock won't overcome that. I recommend the stock because I have seen cheap barrels do better than 1 MOA with match/handloaded ammo. I've seen shooters struggle...
You didn't mention what ammo you are shooting or how you are positioned. If you're shooting basic ammo with the handguard sitting on a block of wood and the butt stock floating then 1 MOA is excellent.
Ammo is key. I've seen groups cut in half just going from decent ammo to match ammo. Federal...
What worked well for me on my past two cars.
Figure out exactly what model and trim level you want. Use Edmunds or Kelly Blue Book to send an email inquiry to all dealerships you are willing to drive to. The more you select the better your odds. I drove 60 miles for my last car but saved...
I have an ADM mount on my Accuracy International AT and it flat out returns to zero. I would recommend it for anything.
Here is the proof:

The AI bolt has smooth robust locking and some mechanical advantage. You could have a stiff bolt indicating oversized brass and not realize it if you're aren't used to the AI.
If I understood you correctly, you are using the chamber to check fired brass. Try checking headspace with a gage and...
