    Suppressors 37mm launchers ?!?!?!

Re: 37mm launchers ?!?!?! http://www.freewebs.com/grog/safety1.htm Useful info here. To summarize, generally a waste of money and dangerous as hell (check out the disfigured hand pictures and forest fire warning for fun).

    Suppressors Just got a new XD(M) .45.

Re: Just got a new XD(M) .45. Very cool. Enjoy your XDM. My XDM9 is my favorite I've ever owned (and there have been a lot). Expect a range report...

Rifle Scopes SWFA "House Brand" Rings...any experience?

Re: SWFA "House Brand" Rings...any experience? Just an update. I ordered these and mounted them on my Rem 700. Not bad for the money. The fit and finish leave a bit to be desired. One of the screw holes was a bit off but with a bit of work everything is functioning well. If I had it to do...

Rifle Scopes Tips for finding "sweet spot" in sight picture?

Any quick tips for finding that "sweet spot" of a sight picture. I'm shooting through a SS 10x42. Finding the proper eye relief, cheek weld, etc to get side-to-side clarity is often difficult. It just seems like the margin for error is virtually zero. Any tips for improving this? Disclaimers...

    Suppressors 380 bodyguard is GTG

Re: 380 bodyguard is GTG Do you carry this? I've read that holster options are difficult because of the laser activation button location(s). Any experience? Does anyone know if S&W is planning a 9mm version?

Why bolt .223 over AR platform?

Re: Why bolt .223 over AR platform? Thanks for the responses guys. A lot to think about. More than anything I'm trying to reduce the number of guns in my safe that have a single purpose (or very few) and increase the number of guns that can do more/have more utility (maybe with a few extra...

Why bolt .223 over AR platform?

I'm looking for an accurate .223. I keep coming back to the same question. Why bolt gun over an AR platform target/heavy barrel? Personal comfort? Cost? Accuracy? Reliability? I do like the idea of less moving parts with a bolt action rifle…

Recommend a gunsmith in Central NC?

I need a barrel threaded for a muzzle brake and/or suppressor (althought it doesn't look like local LEO signs off on many of these around here...maybe if he looses his reelection campain I can get him during his lame duck month). My research tells me there is a "right way" and a wrong/less right...

Suppressors New to side arms. Need help.

Re: New to side arms. Need help. Find a way to shoot as many as you can (range, buddies, etc). Nothing can replace first-hand experience. I have Glocks and an XDM. I prefer the XDM and tend to shoot better with it.

Rifle Scopes SWFA "House Brand" Rings...any experience?

So SWFA has their "house brand" rings back in stock. Anyone have any first-hand experience with these. They look identical to Burris XTR rings, are 20 bucks cheaper and come with 1 inch inserts. Not a bad deal...but not worth saving $20 if they don't do the job well. My use would be for a SS...

Most cost effective way to reduce recoil of .308

Re: Most cost effective way to reduce recoil of .308 What about the Badger FTE ($250 installed by GAP)...that way I'm ready for a can if I ever get around to it (i.e find the cash in the couch cushions)? I'm starting to rule out the VAIS...I'm thinking it's too much of a problem when shooting...

Most cost effective way to reduce recoil of .308

Remington 700 SPS Tactical (20in), .308, B&C Medalist Stock other than that it's stock. I'm trying to make this rifle more "wife friendly" otherwise I'll be ordering the same rifle in .223 for her. She is a tiny thing doesn't much care for the recoil of the rifle as is. So what can I do to...

    When do you carry.

Re: When do you carry. Not as often as I'd like. I work at a school so to-and-from work isn't an option unless I'm willing to park my car 1/2 mile from my office in an abandoned parking lot (not a good idea to leave a newish car and a handgun alone in an abandon parking lot all day). Stupid...

    Too much Koolaid?

Re: Too much Koolaid? I've had good experiences with both a Streamlight Polytac ($40ish) and Olight T20 ($50ish). For my purposes (IDPA, camping, home improvment, general use) I'd rather buy a handful of cheaper lights and have them in various places (car/truck, safe, workshop, range bag...

    Question for backpacking/hiking/camping experts
