    JP Rifles?

Re: JP Rifles? On the last CTR02 I had I optioned the heat sink. I had run the gun pretty hard at a few matches and was kind of developing the opinion that it was not all that functional. The next time I went out practicing I removed the heatsink to see the difference. There was a...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Need a red dot for my FNP-45 Competition

Re: Need a red dot for my FNP-45 Competition FYI if you put a red dot on the pistol it would put you in Open Division and would that pistol would be seriously outclassed competing against a full on Open Gun. That being said the Trijicon RMR Dual Illumination models are absolutely bombproof...

Should LE live in the areas they police?

Re: Should LE live in the areas they police? As is common in your threads, you and your infinite wisdom haven't thought about all the areas a cop couldn't afford to live

    Rifle gas or mid gas?

Re: Rifle gas or mid gas? Assuming the gun does not have timing issues (unlocking early) that would be more of a factor of chamber sizing/accuracy not the fact that the rifle cycles by gas pressure. To clarify what I was explaining when any round is fired the internal pressure expands the...

Re: A real man cave Man Cave Fail.....it is however a wet dream for those who live vicariously through the actions of others while hollering upstairs for their mom to bring them a sandwich.

    Rifle gas or mid gas?

Re: Rifle gas or mid gas? Not trying to be a dick but if you can offer up a more pointed question it would be much easier to offer answers/opinions. What are your priorities, recoil impulse, reliability, etc etc... If you plan on running a 16" or longer barrel, is there a reason you would...

    Gunsmithing Soda blasting

Re: Soda blasting are you asking if the soda blasting leaves enough tooth for the next coating? Again, I had excellent results.

    JP Rifles?

Re: JP Rifles? For many years JP made guns with the focus solely being on all out performance and very little focus on adding 8 miles of rail space, vertical grips etc. IMO JP builds every bit as good of a gun or better than many of the well marketed tactical brands, but I think there...

    Gunsmithing modification ?

Re: modification ? Instead of a dremel, use some fine sandpaper/emery cloth (400,600 grit). Pinch the stub of the slide release between your thumb and forefinger and spin it with the lever. This way you will take an equal amount of material off the pin. Fit it often when you get close to...

    POF PDW

Re: POF PDW Just a note of caution. Not all can manufacturers like you to run their can on an upper shorter than 10.5. Generally they have concerns over baffle strikes and overpressurization. It's worth asking when you're spec'ing the can.

Rifle Scopes US Optics, thickness of T-Pal?

Re: US Optics, thickness of T-Pal? Neither the cantilevered Larue or ADM mounts have a big enough turret space to handle the turret box of the T Pal scopes. The Larue LT 111 is big enough and ADM does make a mount that will fit but you need to call to get the correct part #. Other...

    Cheapest AR-10 to build/buy

Re: Cheapest AR-10 to build/buy I am assuming you mean a .308 AR platform gun not just the armalite brand. It is pretty hard to beat the basic DPMS LR308, they are under $1k complete and all the examples I have been exposed to have been excellent shooters.
