    Need advice.... JP LPR-07 308 vs 6.5

With 6.5 vs 308 you're going to have a different port length and different gas tube. So, while it's pretty straightforward pulling the handguard, you will need a different gas tube as well which is a tiny part but a bit more time to swap. Then you end up with 308 parts just sitting there waiting...

Interested in an SPR/DMR/Whatever you want to call it

Both can be set up as ambi. Safeties, Raptor charging handle and a Troy Ambi mag catch on the JP. Both are excellent rifles. Shoot both and see which you prefer.

Appreciate the kind words. I'll pass them along to our video boi Tom Davis. Also, yes.

Interested in an SPR/DMR/Whatever you want to call it

One vote for the JP. You can build it exactly the way you want it and I'm definitely sold on them as precision platforms.

    3 gun build

I do understand your point. I agree if you're running ragged edge you will crash but I'm not recommending running at the ragged edge either. A properly setup rifle can and does have a silly light recoil impulse while also being able to run extremely reliably.

    Range Report 6GT Project/Range Report

@NorCal Vu thanks for the write up and the 1000 yard groups. This thread has me very excited about the GT. That and all the stickers that are accumulating.

    3 gun build

100% get the thermal dissipator. For those of us that do use them and have burned out our barrels at very high round counts there's no question the dissipator is worth every penny to extend the lifecycle of the barrel. The aluminum carrier is nice if you build a run and gun or other style...

    3 gun build

Yep, definitely go full JP. They can be fun to build if you already have parts. They also have some Ready Rifle builds in 18" and 14.5" configurations depending on your fancy. Since the JP has an adjustable gas block the standard SCS will be great for either a light or ultralight bolt. If...

Stag10 6.5CM chewing up brass? Photos & Video Clip

If adjusting the gas down to ~3 o clock ejection looks like that I'd do as loveha suggested and check your extractor. It's kind of hard to tell with the light shining but it does look like you're getting a decent ejector mark as well so you might still be unlocking a touch early. You can also...

    JP APAC Chassis

Chassis is definitely a keeper. The rifle was built to be loaned out to shooters at local matches. We had 4 people of VERY different body types all running it. Super quick adjustments when needed and rock solid when set. 1 shooter won the match running the rifle so, it's definitely going to be a...

    DeLane Development Group Rimfire Ventures

This Vudoo is amazing! Rifle finished Friday, shot on Saturday. We ran 4 people at a local 22 precision match with 1 shooter winning the match. Can't say enough great things about the Vudoo. 3 hits on a 1/4" "plate" as the last target on a 50 yd KYL rack is crazy! Maybe they called them Vudoo...

    Trijicon RMR on AR

The only real application I found where a RMR / SRO type optic works is a 45 degree offset sight for game guns. Shooting around a left lean wall with the 45 offset is much easier, but it's kind of a bunch of $ for a small advantage. Some 3 gunners in Open division run them as an up close optic...

    JP APAC Chassis

Yeah...the fore end / ARCA is solid. So far so good with the 22 build. I'll update after the 22 Precision match this Saturday. Now time to scrounge up an optic and get DOPE. :) JP APAC Chassis - Vudoo 22 barreled action - Trigger Tech Trigger - Wiebad Fortune Cookie

    Help pick first suppressed rifle

Small frame (223, 300 blk) are pretty straightforward to run suppressed. Large frame (308) there's some tricks to set them up so they run damn near as well as a small frame, more true with the 6.5 variants. Definitely buy something with an adjustable gas block and I'd strongly suggest a adding a...

    JP APAC Chassis

It is very, very nice. For me even the very early prototypes felt natural to hold, point and use. The folder hinge is well designed and will last forever. The adjustments are well laid out and stay put when you set them. I like the Arca Rail built into the chassis as well as extended on the...

Suppressors Any experience with Sig's SRD762 can?

The Sig cans are well designed and work. They aren't a can that really stands out in any 1 area but they are a nice overall can. If you are in the market for something general, then this is a good option. If you want to fall more on the side of sound suppression and precision I'd go with a...

    First Semi Auto Long Gun

If you want real precision and reliability go with the JP. I can't stress enough to go with something designed to work as a system. Proper gas port length at +2, high pressure bolt, compensator, silent captured spring with a proper weight to it. All the little things make a huge difference as...
