Hunting & Fishing I need info hunting/fishing in N.C
I'm not too sure on hunting areas or available Game Lands but, if you check out NC Hunt & Fish forums, some of the guys on there may could help guide you in the right direction as far as Hunting/Fishing spots. I live in Halifax County NC and we got lots of deer and some good size bucks are taken...- Wardy

Altering a Bell and Carlson stock
Heres the one I did, I used a mill to cut the bulk of forend down, then a belt and palm sander to finish up. Filled in holes with epoxy and then Devcon for texture. Wish I woulda went up a little higher with texture but I was pleased with it. And it wasn't quite as noticeable as the pic shows...- Wardy

Nice work guys...I did the same to one I had but that rifle is gone now. I wish B&C would get rid of that ridiculously large and blocky forend....they have a solid stock at a good price point but the forend is fugly.- Wardy

I've never had or used one on the T2i I had and the 1D3 I have now doesn't need one :) I suppose it couldn't hurt for $20, I know I've spent that kinda money on useless stuff so the added protection couldn't hurt I don't reckon.- Wardy

Yea, the 18-55 is not the best you can get but it'll suffice for you til you figure out what you're looking for. Better choice would be like sugarbug said and get the 50 1.8....and is $100 cheaper plus about 2 stops better on your aperture. I got one and it is a great cheap lil...- Wardy

You would prolly fair well with a Canon 60mm or 100mm Macro if you are planning on doing some macro shooting, have heard of folks using the macro lenses for portrait photography maybe some general picture taking too..? Idk cause I don't own a macro lens.. Or maybe even a 17-50 2.8 for fast AF...- Wardy

Bell & Carlson stock dimensions?
I'd have a look at the Bell & Carlson M40 Bell & Carlson Tactical Medalist Style 4 Series 1000 Long Range Remington 700 Short Action & 1001 Long Action Stock Its a solid stock and should give you the comb height you're looking for.- Wardy

Gunsmithing Bedding help please...
I use Devcon 10110 for my bedding jobs but I've never done a pillar job. STR has some good vids on YouTube dealing with pillar bedding. Good luck.- Wardy
