I have found the chronys that use light like most of them are inconsistent with differing light -that's why I'm going for a MagnetoSpeed Chronograph

My original post was really saying where you going to shoot ? That depends on what the mirage is showing about the wind -1-4 right to left around 70deg wobbling air the dight picture will show a target lifting to the high left for example...

Great glass in there optics for sure -I believe from reading a little they have sorted them selves out to a greater degree in their scopes failing ????

Yeah that's got some interesting dips , trees and angles in it -no easy I imagine at all .My range at Cleavdon Auckland New Zealand can be very akward with saddle type hills both sides and a big hill at the back of the buts and drop offs in...

What equally as fascinating in this debate is all parties are accomplished shooters in their own right -and still hitting targets even though their methods appear quite polarized -there goes the physics lol

If wind doesnt push the bullet as is accepted at super sonic speeds but friction between between the air layer and the vacum around the bullet slows the projo down what happens in a subsonic situation - is there still a vacum type situation...

I cannot see how one can read middrange without taking into account wind at shooter first or aswell -perhaps Sterling does this but has not said it and gives more head to middrange.
