Based on the type of competition you are citing, a BAT would probably be the preferred action. Definitely nothing wrong with the other two but look at the top shooters in F Class/long range bench rest and BAT is up there. Any of the big names for barrels are great, find whatever you can that...
Either of those options are perfectly fine. You can have whatever you want for a bolt gun other than a barrel less than 16" and a suppressor. That being said who knows when they will come after bolt rifles.
I have a few Gary Eliseo-based tubeguns. For me the advantages are the almost infinite adjustability of the stock, you do not need to bed the action, I personally feel less recoil vs. a conventional stock and if you order one you can generally get it much faster than a Manners or McMillan...
I have not used the Atlas first hand but when I started in F/TR I used a Harris. Clearly there are better bipods for this specific style of shooting and the Centershot is one of them. So far I think I have used a Centershot and Sinclair Gen 3 but I currently use a Phoenix Precision. It...
I have a 6.5 Creedmoor bolt gun with a DBM system utilizing AICS magazines. I am considering chambering a new barrel in 6xc and am wondering if I will have any issues feeding the xc from the AICS mags?
I'm debating between rebarrelling my TRG-22 to 6.5CM or building a new custom in order to participate in some precision matches. For these types of matches is a TRG at a disadvantage in some way that building a new rifle would be worth it?
Looking for some input on a new barrel for my F/TR rifle. Currently I am debating between choosing a longer barrel or a heavier barrel. I am looking at ordering either a 32" heavy palma or a 30" barrel with a heavy palma profile that will carry the 1.00 straight taper down to the muzzle...
I have built a backup/mid-range rifle for F/TR and I'm wondering how the McMillan A5 is at tracking with an F/TR setup(Sinclair F Class bipod and Edgewood rear bag)? Would I be better off looking at a dedicated F/TR stock like a Precision Rifle & Tool or some other maker? Thanks.
Re: Sightron Slll 8-32 vs Nightforce 8-32 glass
Having owned both I prefer the Nightforce. That being said I think many will agree that the two are fairly comparable and you do save some $$ going with the Sightron.
Re: 308 Rifle
I regret selling mine too. Incredibly accurate and depending on the model it most likely has all the upgrades that one would do to a Remington 700 already done.
