    How much interference are you talking about here? Was the top of the action machined down or anything? You said the Smith started with a Hart blank, did he turn the profile on the lathe and maybe its not correct? Just thinking of possibilities that could cause your problems...

    The only thing I can think of... your setup requires the earlier M40 profile barrel? Which wasn't as heavy for fat as an A1 barrel?

    These days I just carry an Alox sak. Heres 2 of my favorites from my younger days when I carried the cool stuff. Both are probably atleast 25 years old. Great to see some guys like the CRKT. I have a couple and need to dig them out. Part of me wants to put these back in the rotation...lol I need...

    I had an original Leatherman and hated using the pliers. I got the Gerber MP600's and never looked back. I use pliers alot and can flick the Gerbers open one handed and quick.
