Odd Bolt Handle Proof Mark/Stamp Question

I was looking at a Rem 700 SA (D prefix) and noticed a small star (looks like the Star of David) stamped on the bolt handle flat. I've never seen this before. Anybody known what that means? I couldn't find anything online. Thanks.
