    MP5 Won't Cycle

    It could also be a broken roller plate. I've seen many of these crack and it could have jammed the roller in the "out" position, making it difficult for the bolt to cycle.

    i say paint it IF IT IS SET UP HOW YOU WANT IT. To me it looks like the scope is too high to get proper cheek weld - maybe it fits you though. Go get everything the way you want it, shoot it several times to confirm it is good, then paint it.

    Connor McLeod with Celtic Rifles did a great job on a spec M40A5 for me. He stayed in touch and sent photos as the rifle was built. Stand up guy who builds an accurate rifle.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Pistol with most interchangable calibers...

    I've never shot one but would think the P250 would be a good choice not only for caliber conversion but also being able to go from a compact to a full size gun as well.

    Why are you wanting to do an A5 clone? I'd assume based on your question of what is recommended that you haven't shot a rifle like that very much. So if you've already decided you want a McMillan stock and a Schneider barrel, then have it screwed on a trued Remington 700 action, add the scope...
