Movie Theater Anyone Read A Good NON-Fiction Book Lately?

"Danger Close!" Written by a woman who flew OH-58s for the Cav in Iraq. Very well done book!

    Rifle Scopes MOA vs Mil.

We have a lot of those types in the aviation world. Had a guy come to me one time who wanted a tailwheel endorsement. He had about 250 hours total flying time, all in the same make and model airplane. His exact comment was "I know pretty much all there is to know about Cessna 172s". We told...

That's hilarious! I can't believe they did that!!

    Rifle Scopes MOA vs Mil.

All my shooting mentors were MOA people. All my scopes are MOA scopes. Guess I'll stick with it. Yes, I'm a dinosaur. Deal with it. :)

    Rifle Scopes Nikon FX-1000

I put a 4-16x non-iluminated on a Remington 700 that I'm slowly building up. After doing a lot of shopping and comparing, I felt that the Nikon was the best scope in the price range that my budget could afford. I've had it to the range and zeroed it, and I have to say I am totally happy so...

What are you guys using for priming tools?

This is what I use. I've had it for years. Works great. Until this thread, I haven't even given any thought to doing it any other way. So far, I haven't seen anything that would make me want to change!

    Manual Scales

I still have the same beam scale that I started out with over 30 years ago. It's a "Texas" brand, which I don't think even exists anymore in the reloading world. But it works and it's accurate and it continues to serve me well. I keep thinking about getting something different, but then I...

    Movie Theater The Mule

"The Mule" is based on the true story of Leo Sharp, who was indeed a WWII vet and Bronze Star winner. It's not just Hollywood fantasy. Clint did an awesome job on the movie, and of course did a great job on the acting as well. He's a classic!

    New Years Resolution builds.

I'm going to try to finish up the Remington 700 that I've been working on for a while. Really just need to decide on a chassis and get 'er done, but have to appropriate the funds for that move. I have pretty much everything else, and the rifle shoots great in the factory stock. But a chassis...

6.8 SPC - owners / users chime in

I have a 6.8 SPC rifle that I built myself. I went with a 16 inch barrel, from AR Performance. Beautiful barrel and shoots really well. I used an Aero Precision upper receiver and mounted a Vortex 1-4x scope. Love the rifle! Let me know what else you'd like to know.

    Rifle Scopes Nikon X1000 Scopes

I just picked up one of the 4-16x50 versions, with the MOA reticle. I'm going to mount it on a Remington 700 SPS. I've got the mount and rings, but haven't had a chance to put it all together yet. I'll let you know how it works after I get a chance to take it to the range.

Rifle Scopes BC Flip up sizes

I just picked up one of Nikon's new "Black X1000" scopes. It's a 4-16x50 X-MOA. I haven't seen any mention of this scope in this thread. Any thoughts on what BC covers might fit? Thanks!!

So has anyone bought the new Remington 700 Magpul rifle?

I just saw this on the Remington website. I've been thinking about getting a Magpul stock for the 700 SPS that I just won in a gun club raffle. I'm working on getting some glass for it first, but I like the look of the Magpul stock for the money. Think I might go that way.

    So I have two rifles....

FishDr, and all the others who have chimed in, I much appreciate the advice, and as I mentioned in a previous post, I have decided to keep both rifles. I really couldn't bring myself to sell the Model 70. It's an old friend. And since I've got a total of $20 invested in the 700, no matter what...

    So I have two rifles....

Ok, y'all have convinced me. I'm going to keep both! (Now I just need to convince my wife that she made the decision!!) Think I'll stick with 308 for both of them, since I'm all set up for that caliber already. Now I just need to start working on getting a decent scope and chassis for the 700...

    So I have two rifles....

I find myself in a situation where I have two bolt action rifles, both in .308 caliber. One is a Winchester Model 70 that I've had for nearly 40 years. It has a same-age Bushnell 3-9 variable scope mounted. It's done its duty during our Wisconsin deer season for both myself and my son in law...

    Winchester Model 70 Chassis?

Ok, I'm sure this has been covered here before. I tried the search function, but didn't have any luck there. So at the risk of being the new guy who didn't know how to find the info, I'll just go ahead and ask the question: Does anybody make a decent tactical chassis for the Winchester Model...

Member Link Up Wisconsin 2017 events thread

Hey all! I'm a little late to the party. Er, Forum, but thought I'd check in. I'm in Oshkosh, but I grew up out in the cranberry country west of Wisconsin Rapids (actually closer to Babcock and Pittsville). I've been spending a lot of time with handguns over the past few years, but am...
