    I have to disagree. Odessa is way worse than Austin. Too many stupid people with oil money think they are better than they are. I always carried in West Texas, The place was just as bad as Mexico.

    Prayers for you and Abby! Hang in there and talk to her as much as you can. They are still there even though sometimes they can't respond. My girlfriend has a brain injury and at times it has been difficult but still love her just the same.

    I use it in PRS. Running a Vortex PST gen 2 in a Spuhr mount. Love the gun. I am changing out the flash hider for a brake.

    I get around 5/8" out of mine. It surprised me on the accuracy. I actually use mine for PRS right now.

    Yes the Mason Dixon series. I actually was thinking of also doing the Geissele Gas Gun Challenge also. You will see me at the matches this year using my SCAR 20. Need to finish the AR for end of year and a varmint hunt with a good friend.

    Gunsmithing AR10 Reaction Rod

    Any one near York, PA have an AR10 reaction rod I could borrow? Just need to change a muzzle device on a barrel and I really did not want to buy it just for that as I don't see myself building another AR10.

    Handl is not the only one making an alternative lower. Handl used to make aluminum and magnesium ones. There is also Stryker Ent., and X-Products. Now Handl is questionable if they are even in business as no one has any communication with them in the last week and their website has been down...

    Yes the SCAR 17 can eat optics due to the design. It can be mitigated by using an aluminum lower instead of the factory polymer. The SCAR 16 seems to be fine. I have yet to hear of the SCAR 20 eating any optic yet.

    I have a 20 and used to own a 17. I love the gun but have been so busy with work this month I have not had a chance to take it out much.
