I honestly see what's going on with the PRS scene as the natural progression of the competitive environment given the rules, or lack thereof, that have been established by the PRS governing body. It's not necessarily a bad thing in my view, it's just what it's become. The discussion that is...
I have a nice K98 sitting around that I'd love to set up as a period correct sniper clone. Accumounts has mounts and optics. Looking for input from folks with experience with clone K98 setups, especially the Z39 version.
Thanks!
I've owned and used a S&B PMII 5-25 P4F for several years. I've used this scope in quite a few comps and it's been my primary optic. I've been behind a lot of NF optics and I currently own a Kahles 624i with SKMR3. To my eye the Kahles doesn't provide the detail or sharpness the S&B does when...
I will say this, I should have done a before and after of my rifle. It looks like it got dragged down a gravel road for a few hundred yards. I call it character and memories. Heck, I can look at my rifle and tell a story about each and every scratch, dent or scuff on it from matches past...
Great match, the diversity in the stage designs was refreshing. Awesome ROs across the board. Brian and his family are the definition of good people and man, can they put on a meal. As always, it was good meeting new folks that enjoy the sport.
I'm looking to shoot more PRS matches this year and next. I'm looking to see if there is anyone from MO that wants to carpool. PM me if interested.
Thanks!
A few years ago I spent nearly an entire day doing nothing but miling prairie dogs and using the mildot master to establish the distance. Worked well and was awesome practice.
I used a couple different pouches before I settled on Tacos. Your mags will not fall out. The level of retention was one of factors I considered when choosing a mag pouch. I run factory AICS mags. I could easily hang upside down and the mags would remain in the pouches and that's loaded.
I'd be willing to bet the 124g subsonic is the problem. I've been shooting suppressed 9mm for years and found 124g subsonic is troublesome. Try some 147s.
Just posting my data.
115 DTAC BN
H4350 42.3
Win brass
210m primer
Seated to 2.875 fits in AIAE mags
Bartlein 28" 1-8 twist.
Vel a little over 3050 fps.
I've put right at 500 rounds of this load through this barrel. Accuracy is excellent and confirmed drops are very impressive.
Anybody shooting this match with any amount of Federal 210m primers (even a couple hundred would work) they would be willing to part with let me know. I could buy them outright or maybe do some trading. I have primers on back order forever and starting to get a little jumpy that I may run out.
