    50 Beowulf and its host

I have an Alexander Beowulf that shoots fine. I've had to modify feed lips on magazines, including the AlexArms mags (considered the best for Beowulfs) to feed reliably. All the research I've done pretty much boils down to it being a crap shoot as far as reliability if you don't go with an AA...

    Help dealing with heavy wind

I live in Wyoming, where 20 mph is a gentle breeze. I can't think of a time wind was blowing my rifle around prone, or modified prone even in 50+ mph winds. You're just going to have to practice, that's all there is to it. Make sure your fundamentals are solid, and the rifle shouldn't be moving.

PST Gen II 5x25 or Strike Eagle 5x25

To be fair, I've seen a ton of both get sent back, but every single one of the SEs owned by friends and acquaintances have been back.

PST Gen II 5x25 or Strike Eagle 5x25

There is a reason that the PST is more expensive with less features than the Strike Eagle. I don't personally know anyone that hasn't sent their SE in for warranty work.

    Sheridan Wyo Bound!!!

Welcome. Please don't invite your friends and family to move here, and enjoy your stay. Seriously, though, you're kinda gonna be on your own as far as finding hunting and fishing spots. Those are closely guarded secrets to all of us that have lived here for a while. It doesn't help that the...

Is it worth chasing the lands with hornady 140?

Your rifle is at sub-half MOA, single digit SD, etc., and you want to cause more throat erosion by tinkering with seating depth? I guess, it's your rifle and money, not to mention a pain to replace your components right now. It's a coyote gun, not a benchrest rifle.

Hornady 140 Gr ELD 100ct SHORT BY 12

They pretty much told me that was impossible, that modern equipment makes that impossible due to sorting by weight, etc. He took my information, and that was that. I haven't heard a word back and that was months ago. My theory is that someone plugged in the wrong type of bullets (maybe 75gr...

Why Gun Control Will Not Work

It will work, and it already is. With many Americans telecommuting now, rural properties are being bought up sight unseen by urbanites looking to transform their new area into the shot hole they just left. Our way of life will be impacted by this. People are already not shooting and moving...

    Spuhr or other options?

I like MPA mounts, so that's what I use. The RPR is kinda heavy for a mountain gun, so weight saving of going with rings won't matter much.

    New MPA PMR Pro 6.5CM

I had to remove the Pic rail section of the NV bridge to use the sunshade on my 7-35 ATACR. Clears just fine now.

AR Ban Implications on existing owners and Boulder Tragedy

You don't save anything through compromise. The literal definition of compromise is parties making concessions to end a dispute. When have antigunners given us anything? It's always one side making concessions under the guise of safety. What you are doing is trying to ease your pain out of...

LaRue bolt gun wins PRS match? Any info?

I dunno. I think it was just simply showing one that was actually in the wild. Who knows?

LaRue bolt gun wins PRS match? Any info?

Yeah, they dropped something about it on social media years ago, and it's been vaporware until now I guess. There's a long running thread on Arf in the LaRue forum about the wait times.

LaRue bolt gun wins PRS match? Any info?

Okay, I talked to my buddies that were there. The LaRue was in the squad behind him. It was an older gentleman, and it was his first match, or one of his first. They said he had several weapon malfunctions and did not complete a couple of stages. Many of the targets were over 1 MOA.

Hunting & Fishing Suggestions On Prairie Dog Caliber

Hunting & Fishing Suggestions On Prairie Dog Caliber

I shoot Prairie Poodles at least once a week during the spring and summer. I always carry a 223, 220 Swift, and a 243 when I go out. I have the spectrum covered with those. I have also used my Barrett before, but it isn't that spectacular like a 4k fps varmint bullet is. I just found out a few...

LaRue bolt gun wins PRS match? Any info?

I wasn't there, and I don't know the guy that placed first after checking Practicescore. I'll ask some buddies that shot the match.
