    Absolutely. Tactical is fine, tactical is cool, but it ain't pretty. Figured wood and deep blued steel is gorgeous.

    Using tripods - how often and how

    Pretty much the same setup I'm using. I really like the Anvil-30. I use it for spotting with optics 95 percent of the time, but used the crap out of it at a high angle match this summer.

    Hammer wear is normal on any AR due to the BCG sliding over it. All of my Geisseles do it, and factory triggers in every issued rifle I ever had in the Army.

    You should really shoot some quality match ammo to take the ammo out of the equation. Always question the shooter, but M80 ball is always suspect.

    6.5 CM load question

    I settled on 41.5gr H4350 coupled with 140 ELD-Ms, and Hornady brass with my 22" Criterion Hybrid barrel. I have put JP High Pressure bolts/firing pins, and asjustable gas blocks on every 6.5C AR I've had to prevent pierced primers, swipe marks, etc. Most guns like that 41.5ish charge with 140s.

    Absolutely, and I never said otherwise. Those are also a small percentage of the optics they sell every year, so my statement still stands. If Kia made a bad ass super car that ran trouble free for 150k miles, would you be defending the entire brand, or would all of the Sorento owners...

    I did, but the Razor Gen 2 is only one scope in their line. It is a great scope, but the rest of the line leaves people bragging about how good the warranty is. Besides, my brand (NF ATACR 7-35x56) got two different entries for the same scope, so that makes it 100 percent superior. lol

    I still prefer Harris for hunting and general use rifles. I prefer Atlas on my Precision match rifles. I purchased a Magpul when they first came out, and gave it to a newer shooter. I hated it, and felt like it would break at some point.

    Bergers are good, but I settled on ELD-M because of the volume of them I shoot practicing and for matches every year. I've never lost points shooting 140s at 2850 fps due to bullet blow up or not shooting a Berger. I try to buy the same lot number in bulk for consistency reasons, just like kegs...

    Lot# 2201384 I called Hornady this morning, and they are sending me the missing bullets, and emailing me what the window of shipped weight should be for a box of 100 140 ELD-M should be so I can check the other lot numbers. Only instance I've ever been glad I couldn't buy all of the same lot...

    I bought a Gen 7 4-32X56IR to use on my 6. 5 Gas gun to compete with. I used it in about four matches, and I started having trouble with tracking at about the second stage. By the fifth stage, my zero was 9 mils low, and the elevation turret locked up. I sent it in, they sent a brand new one...
