    Seekins HAVAK Precision Rifle

How are you folks liking the new Seekins PH1 stock? How does it compare to the McMillan and Manners?

    Rifle Scopes 1200.00 Scope Budget

Good choice! I have a couple LRHS scopes. Tracking and RTZ have been flawless over thousands of rounds with most shots being dialed. I much prefer it over the SHV’s (I’ve owned 6).

Rifle Scopes Leveling a scope: Plumb line and a flashlight

Seems like a pretty decent idea. I start off leveling my scopes with a deck of cards and then comfirm my mount job with a plumb line. Easy peasy. I’ll try the flashlight/plumb line method on my next scope mounting to see if it’s easier. I avoid the garbage leveling kits with the cheapo...

    6.5 options

I have 2 CTR’s, had more than a few Remington’s (not the Magpul), and shot the Bergara HMR as recently as tonight. Here’s my $.02 if it helps: Tikka T3X CTR (6.5 Creedmoor and .308 Win): + Both are MOA rifles with 10 shot groups slightly under an inch. + Both shoot various bullets well (143...

JB bore compound. When if ever to use

No doubt. The BR guys seem to always use more aggressive cleaning techniques than the hunting crowd. I'm definitely that latter and only clean when my rifle tells me to.

Hunting & Fishing One top tier all around hunting rifle

Gotcha. The TGR is a blind mag, but Nosler does include a hinged floor plate on their higher end models. I'm not sure if a Howa-type DBM would fit, though. The off the shelf variety is a blind mag. A drawback to the TGR is that I don't know anyone that inlets for the M48. I called McMillan...

JB bore compound. When if ever to use

There are a ton of effective copper removers on shelves and most seem to work well. I have Montana X-Treme Copper Killer on my shelf now and it works great. I've used JB as a bore prep, but think it's too aggressive to use as a cleaner. You might want to try some Ultra Bore Coat. It did...

Hunting & Fishing Another hunting death

Yep. This takes a lot of "what if's" out of the safety equation.

Hunting & Fishing One top tier all around hunting rifle

I also have a Nosler TGR, but in a 300 WSM. I've owned many off the shelf Kimbers (Montana's), Rems (LTR, CDL SF, various others), Winchesters (PF and CF M70's), Tikkas, and Sakos (75, 85, and Kodiak), but the TGR seems to be the best turn-key rifle of the bunch. For me it balances well...
