    Re: Cut barrel to 16" or 18" Rem 700 SPS tac .308 we just tested a 16.5 700P we cut down to 16.5. It performed fine out to 550yd which is as far as we tested it. The bullets go a little slower, but as long as you know your dope you'll be good.
