Re: AR15 throwing brass everywhere, adj gas block?
Are there any ill effects of throwing brass that far from you, besides potentially annoying the people in the lanes next to you?

I'm building my first AR and when I torque my nut to 30 ft/lbs the gas tube does not line up. If I back it off the nut seems to loose. I have gone up to 45 ft/lbs with a ways to go before I clear the barrel nut and align the gas tube. How high can I go?
Thanks in advance for your advice

I am wrapping up my first AR build and I'm getting ready to mount the barrel. My question: Should I use anything to treat the threads, Loctite or never seize? I have seen both used. Recommendations? Pros/Cons of using one or the other?
I'm wrapping my first AR build and am curious to know what type of lube is recommended. I have lithium grease on the forward assist spring and my buffer spring. Is gun oil ok to use in the rest of the gun?
I just bought a Young BCG and they do not recommend staking. I understand the purpose of staking the BCG, why do some manufacturers and gunsmiths recommend this and others do not?
Re: Looking for BCG? Try Lanco Tactical
Yeah, its the same as it was 4 years ago. I bought a pistol in November 2008 and it was like people were stocking up for the zombie apocalypse.
I was tipped that Lanco Tactical has Young BCG in stock (chrome and phosphate finish). I called and spoke to a guy named Nathan. He was very helpful and they indeed had Young BCG's in stock at a good price. I ended up buying a carrier and the remaining parts of my AR build over the phone...
