Couldn't find any pics of the "sniper tower". Best I could come up with was a pic of the old DC4 parked near the ranges They also had the fuselage of a Huey suspended about 10 or 15 feet in the air to train in. One weekend I was bored and climbed into the Huey and took a pic of the DC4

    Remington 40 XB

Still shooting that 40-X at 100y fairly regularly, although I missed quite a few matches around Christmas. Most recent...1/24/23. It was pretty cold and I think that affected the elevation of the strikes. First String Dropped the very first round into the 7 ring (!!!) Second string Match...

    New Winchester 52D

The cooling off period on my new Win52D expired and I picked it and my new Ljungman up. I checked the bolt and it is EP'd with a matching number to the serial number. Metal and stock are in excellent condition. Is EP'ing the bolt a US property only mark?

    FBI Sniper Rifles

I never saw a Remington 760 in the field. But very shortly after I got to my second office (around 1982), some M-16's started showing up at the firearms sessions. These were in pretty good shape and had carry handles and those kind of triangular shaped handguards, like the M-16's you see in old...

    FBI Sniper Rifles

Maybe. They used to have an old DC4 aircraft parked near the ranges and the "sniper tower" was near the DC4

    FBI Sniper Rifles

Glad to hear that they held on to some of those weapons. Do they still have any Thompsons? We had to qualify with the "sniper rifle", which was a Remington model 760 (!), pump-action rifle in .308. IIRC, it had a 4X Weaver or Leupold scope on it. The craziest thing was that we "qualified" at 50...

It's hard to tell the difference between the 2.5" model 10 and the 3" model 13, expecially in a crappy picture like I posted. 2.5" model 10 3" model 13
