The Bureau never issued stainless steel revolvers. Many agents carried stainless steel revolvers, but they were personally owned, Bureau approved weapons.

Between the 4" pencil barrel model 10 (the "Hoover Heater") and the vaunted 3" model 13, the Bureau issued 2 1/2" model 10's. That is one of the short barrel model 10's. The reason I know that is because that is me in the pictures, qualifying during NAC 80-6.

I've got an older clip slotted Winchester M70 NM model also. Note that the older clip slotted 70's use a Model 70 H&H magnum size base. I bought one from EGW when I got my rifle. This is the one that fit mine... https://www.egwguns.com/winchester-70-picatinny-rail-hh-437-rear-20-moa

    New Winchester 52D

Yours sounds very similar to my 52B. I'm using a 6-18 Nikon Buckmaster on an EGW cantilever mount. I would also like something more solid, although, as you said, the EGW seems to "work". My 52B also has a Canjar trigger...

That is a fine looking 52, DFOOSKING. What kind of ammo does your Winchester like? What kind of scope rail are you using? Scope? My 52B likes the Lapua Center-X pretty well (@50y)

Thanks, guys! I've got a B&L 6-24 mounted on my current 52D, on a Vianni rail. The 52D is the top rifle. I also have a 52B set up for 50 yards. The 52D originally came with Redfield Olympic sights, front and rear

I shoot in a weekly .22 match at a local range. It alternates 50 and 100 yards each week. Right now, I alternate using a Remington 40X and a Winchester 52D on the weeks that we shoot 100 yards. Both do pretty well at that distance. I'm trying to entice my oldest son to join the match with me...

Are those the Parker Hale rear sights that fit the Mauser action.

Anyone able to identify these British barrels

Thanks, Chris. I'm interested in following your footsteps on an M82/C3 Clone. I've accumulated a few pieces, including the barrels now. One of the things is a VZ-24 Mauser action. Is that a realistic action to use?

Thanks, Ron. Can you identify whether the barrels are 1200TX, M82, or Cadet barrels from the proof marks?
