    Another new action?

APR uses a lot of Curtis actions. Im thinking this was speced by APR and made for them by Curtis. Also, APR/Curtis have some of the top PRS shooters. Had I not just got an Impact, I would really consider this.

    Alamo 4 star/ ZRO Delta 34mm Mount.

    Up from the deep.

John Hancock 6 or 6.5 Creedmoor

Not sure your point? If a barrel is wore out, the throat goes out first. These bullets will not refinish the throat. The Final Finish smoothed a bore of a not so polished barrel from my gathering. There is no fixing a throat less you rechamber the barrel.

John Hancock 6 or 6.5 Creedmoor

Although it may speed up the bullets, improve groups on a not so well finished barrel, I highly doubt it will improve a top barrel, Krieger, Benchmark, etc already have a highly finished bore. I have also read some barrel Companies state to not use them. You also claimed extends Barrel life, I...

John Hancock 6 or 6.5 Creedmoor

Don’t think that extends much as it literally removes material to smooth out the bore.

    Alamo 4 star/ ZRO Delta 34mm Mount.

I have a used Alamo four star, now ZRO Delta 34mm M4 with 0 cant scope mount. Scope is changing platforms and I’m changing up the mount. Some finish marks but not abused. $200 PP is preferred. https://www.buyzrodelta.com/product-p/7024-0002-4102.htm

    6.5 bullet choices

Mine shoots the Berger 140hybrids so damn well but I like the lower price and equal BC of the ELD-M. Not sure if I should switch though.

Before you build a trendy Dasher, 6BRA, 6.5 PRC.... the PRS finale was just won with a 6 creedmoor

You called him and other competitors chumps and made assumptions that were wrong. I stated facts about Phillip and you get pissy with me.

Before you build a trendy Dasher, 6BRA, 6.5 PRC.... the PRS finale was just won with a 6 creedmoor

I was not a scout sniper. We’re you even in the military? You run your mouth to everyone? I was placed in CA from the military. Grew up elsewhere but unlike you, if I don’t like politics, I don’t run to the far corner. I’ll stay and vote my way fighting. Even without BLM, I likely shoot more...

Yep, Chump. Guess that’s what they call scout snipers who got out of the military and still love shooting. Many of those top guys also live on ranches and in those big free states.

    The Creedmoor Coolaid

Innovation is for clowns. Like when fuel injection came around. All the bitching and complaining that it’s just a fad. Or it’s meant for women. No real man drives a fuel injected car. Took them about 12-15 years and now you won’t find to many without it. I have a BBC in my 69 C10 and love it...

    The Creedmoor Coolaid

I understand that many are just bandwagon but I know far more that are still drinking the coolaid if the 308 and likely will never look anywhere else. I myself waited a long time to get one and did so because the #s don’t lie and the amount of manufacturer support. Really wanted a .260 but...

    The Creedmoor Coolaid

Living in a county with one of the largest military populations, I shoot PRS with actual Snipers, guess what they use for PRS? 6 & 6.5s so they can choose to shoot 308 for free but choose to shoot a round that is far better Ballistically

John Hancock 6 or 6.5 Creedmoor

I’m heavy into USPSA and 3 gun. I often shoot from 500+ rounds a week from my pistols and rifle but I to have a range close and lots of free ammo. I am lucky having a job that gives it to me but I do find that the times I only dryfire, I often benefit more than shooting. For my 6.5, I may...

John Hancock 6 or 6.5 Creedmoor

Very few people shoot that much. Most PRS pros dryfire more often.

    130 eld-m vs 140 eld-m velocity

I’m not close to the ragged edge. Brass has no marks and primers are just fine. If you don’t like pushing to a higher node, you will not gain anything from a lighter bullet. You will need to push them hard to gain anything over a 140. If I go from a 140 to a 147 at 60-90fps slower, the 147...

    6.5 Creedmoor

Could also be rough bores. Never played with one but I find it odd they are so much slower but I guess that is also the difference from a $3-400 barrel and a $800 barrel.
  18. Ripdog28

John Hancock 6 or 6.5 Creedmoor

Well that may change things a bit. 1/2moa at 600 is not noticeable by the large masses. Likely push to 2300+ before most would care so this makes the 6 more of an option.

    Impact Precision Actions

That is not an issue here. Mine ejects softly even when ripping it back. Hits the ground a few inches out with normal cycling.

John Hancock 6 or 6.5 Creedmoor

But are those Ballistics for “informal target shooting” worth the extra $800+ for a barrel every 12-1500 rounds? Unless he is competing, I would say no. You get 2500-3000 easy for an informal 6.5.
