Accurate gas gun 6.5 cm barrels under 750$?

You can get a 20", 22", or 24" Proof SS with Rifle + 2" gas system for $649. I'd be extremely leery of a barrel with a rifle length gas system in this caliber. I like the JP FMOS (Full Mass Operating System) bolt carrier group with high pressure bolt. This is my own 20" SS Proof 6.5 CM. It's...

2024 Updated List on Billet Receiver Set Manufacturers

San Tan Tactical just isn't the same quality since it was moved from Phoenix to Ft. Worth. Sharps Bros. stuff is impressive: https://sharpsbros.com/livewire-ar15/ https://sharpsbros.com/sbur04-billet-upper-receiver-ar15/

    Charging handle toss up

There are far more designs out there I've never seen than those I've used. The Gas Buster is best I've tried at keeping gas out of the shooter's face. The 1/4" diameter round latch is easy on the fingers and minimizes snagging on gear, as previously pointed out. Plus, it is a part of AR'...

Staked castle nut or not ?

Don't try staking an aluminum or titanium receiver end plate.

Staked castle nut or not ?

Try a Fortis K-1 tapered castle nut with corresponding receiver end plate:

Sharps Bros. "Livewire" forged lower with their billet upper. Criterion 13.9" barrel and Geissele MK16 rail. I'm liking the HK416-ish profile of the lower - Excellent bang for the buck here. You can see a new DLC coated Rogue Ops bolt carrier in the right side close up, too.

Recent range trip with brand new 16" Proof CF equipped rig with 8X scope. The scope's one MOA dot is definitely not ideal for shooting groups, but the combo turned in this half-MOA 5-shot result at 100 yards with shots 8-12 through the barrel.

I've not used CLE for 6mmARC. Craddock and Proof both do incredible jobs on every aspect of their barrel making. Being a dedicated Borescope aficionado, I'm checking out every chamber, throat, gas port, etc., that comes through the shop. Technology must be steadily improving, because they...
