    308 Muzzle Velocity with 175gr

My M1A load uses 41.0 of IMR4895 for 2520 fps with LC Match cases and 175SMK's. Accurate and perfect function. No bolt gun numbers since I sold off my 40-X.

Emotional roller coaster: 6 powder droppers in < 3 years!

It isn't really. I don't use the big bulky powders which is why I said many powders. Remove the hopper and place behind the rear window. Tip the V4 over the hopper and open the window. Give it a shake to empty the tubes and you are good to go. No need at all to disconnect the wire.

Emotional roller coaster: 6 powder droppers in < 3 years!

There is no need to disconnect the wires, just like there is no need for shims/tips or other such nonsense... But that's just my opinion from using my V4 since 2022. .02 is generally one kernel of many powders and .04 is generally about 2, maybe 3 kernels. Well within my tolerance. A world more...

I got into a major knock down-drag out fight in US History class 1970 after getting nailed by one of those. Desks were flying everywhere.....

I put a Timney in my M70. Works just fine. Have it set to about a pound. It isn't a Trigger Tech but works fine and is very consistent. Only gripe was it took some fitting that I was not expecting to need to do.

Do you drink anything while shooting?

probably a couple gallons or more. The last episode on the range in those very hot & humid range conditions was in 2014 so don't quote me on the exact quantities. But that was the last time my body said don't do this anymore and I listened.

Do you drink anything while shooting?

Combination of very hot temps, high humidity, too much fluid intake and likely pre-existing conditions which ultimately led to me quitting the game. But the more I tried to stay hydrated the more my body revolted. Not at all conducive to a fun day on the range. You a doc?

Do you drink anything while shooting?

This I know. I no longer put myself in those situations. I'm too old for such silliness. Seriously, much of the symptoms you illustrate are what I experienced. Not conducive to performing at the highest level at a National event. Getting old sucks.

Do you drink anything while shooting?

While at Camp Perry I used to drink lots of Gatorade, that is until I drank too much and it made me rather unpleasantly ill. Then I drank nothing but water..... until I drank too much and it made me ill. The combo, for me was to water down the Gatorade to about 50-50. That seemed to be what kept...

    NICS delay

I am a retired State Trooper, and I get delayed. Even while I was active duty I got delayed. I used to personally know a couple guys in the firearms services bureau and it didn't matter a bit. I learned to just go with the flow. Isn't worth the grief.

NICS checks out in free states

In Illinois, yeah I know, we have to have a Firearms Owners Identification Card, foid, to purchase or possess a firearm or ammunition. Now we even have to go through a background check to purchase ammunition, any and all ammunition! The foid is run by the state daily for any disqualifying...

Guess we will know in the morning? *update*

My guess is that suppressors will remain illegal in Illinois in perpetuity. That is until the courts, as they did for concealed carry, impose a mandate. I will not hold my breath. SCOTUS just doesn't have the urgency.
