    +P chamber throats

It's... uh... hard for me to believe this is even a thing, to be honest. Mr. High Speed: "Hey, how do barrels die?" FG/TC/BL/et al: "Well, typically we see them die at the throat when the rifling fails to effectively engrave the projectile upon entry and the slippage causes damage to the jacket...

How Heavy is Too Heavy, Rifle Weight

Holy shit... I wanna distro this article just to hurt people's feelings at this point. Missed it when it came out - but, man, the "you don't need a 25 lb gun, and they suck to carry" is a really bitter pill for a lot of folks out there.

    Tac Ops Rifles

My Delta-51 is right around 12.75 lbs ready to shoot (minus ammo) without a can on it... I'd agree that it's a pretty good spot to be.

Siete vs Delta 5 Pro vs AT-X

I'm glad you're impressed with yourself and satisfied with your life choices. I'll remember the USAF dominates its environment the next time a little weather cancels flight ops and leaves you all to discuss when the last time someone even saw an enemy fighter was and if anyone has met the two...

Siete vs Delta 5 Pro vs AT-X

Can we skip to the part where @donald russell tells us how many bow kills he has, how much he can bench, and perhaps if he went into concrete after he got tired of that cushy Air Force life? This has been enjoyable, thanks to all.

Siete vs Delta 5 Pro vs AT-X

I love my DD M4V1 dearly, but I would trade it for a KAC in a heartbeat if I had the chance ;-). Fair warning - wing wipers are in the minority here compared to meat eaters of various stripes, they'll be more than happy to keep you entertained with "witty banter" for as long as you're willing...

    6-24 vs 5-25

You want to hit up the thread containing @Glassaholic reviews as well as some quality @koshkin content (he's also got a website). They've got a lot of material that walks through the merits and challenges of using different erector ratios. My lay person take on this - - Current "state of the...

For the Love of God, GI Joe and John Wayne.... cleaning and abrasive cleaners

It's weird how you get these two emergent camps of shooters. Camp 1 takes great pride in cleaning to the point of ruination as some sort of ritual. Camp 2 takes great pride in not cleaning until it's forced upon them by easily preventable performance degradation. I hope to continue avoiding...

Scope: Hunting 200 Yards and in.

Another vote here for a RDS - simple, fast and great for dynamic shooting and rapid target acquisition. They are also as small and light as you want them to be. I've used an LPVO as well... almost entirely on 1x.

Rifle Scopes New Schmidt & Bender PM2 6-36x56

I like what S&B did with the center... basically what March has with the FML-TR1. Clean aiming point, lots of space around it. That said, absolutely concur .2 mrad over .5 mrad. I have come to dislike the "hmm... well... I guess that particular part of this featureless line is about .2...

Ganz genau... and they wonder why no one likes them.

    TAC OPS / KMW Collaboration

I have a pic of my baked, naked Delta-51 action somewhere... I saved it for... reasons. Didn't see her again until she was all dressed up.

    TAC OPS / KMW Collaboration

I believe I have not... but, I will need to confirm that. To the above - my Dad asked about the build progress... so, the excitement has now spilled over to at least one other person, heh. I am confident in his ability to break just about anything that can be broken, so I'm working to ensure...

    Low recoil round to 1k

The good news is that a modern .30 cal 155 is the ballistic equal of the old 175 SMK (better in some cases). You could twin your wife's 175 load with a 155 if you were so inclined, or very nearly, and benefit from a bit less recoil in the same rig. If you're gonna pay the 175 price in recoil...

    6mm Recoil

I started my now 9 year old son on his/our 6.5 CM when he was 7. The suppressor was key to keeping him focused. It was much better for him than the brake - the extra noise and concussion was quite possibly worse than bare muzzle. The first time he fired a 6.5 CM he was small enough that I was...

If the manufacturer was listening, what realistic thing would you change about your favorite optic?

You mistyped “completely removing MOA from use in scopes, especially otherwise good hunting scopes ruined by this utterly Inferior system of measure.”

If the manufacturer was listening, what realistic thing would you change about your favorite optic?

Back on topic in the sense we're discussing this in the context of the FX 4.5-28x52 as a personal favorite. To a certain extent, this is just me wanting MORE. It might make me the very odd man out, but perhaps my favorite thing about the FML-TR1 is the amount of space in the center. That...

If the manufacturer was listening, what realistic thing would you change about your favorite optic?

Damn it, man! I suppose a more FML-LDK oriented solution might work? Keep the crosshairs compact and thicken them? The scope itself is compact, (relatively) light... easy to see the desire to put it on something that might get carried and used on low mag and in low(ish) light. The optical...

If the manufacturer was listening, what realistic thing would you change about your favorite optic?

The decision for the FML-TR1 or FML-3 not to run the reticle to the edge of the glass (or nearly) on 3x / 4.5x is an odd one considering the same people make the FMC-1, FMC-3, FML, FML-1, FML-TRH, FMA-1, FMA-2, FMA-3, FML-LDK, FML-PDK, FML/FMA-MT... clearly, someone at March understands the...

If the manufacturer was listening, what realistic thing would you change about your favorite optic?

March: 1. Blasphemy - make one or two "normal" scopes with a 5x or 6x erector ratio (e.g. 3-18, 4-20, 5-30, 6-36) 2. Do not artificially restrict the exit pupil of said scope 3. Update the FML-TR1 and FML-3 reticle to extend all the way to edge at low mag 5. Tone down the .2 mrad hash marks by...
