    338 ARC

I wouldn't say that. Won't be the biggest baddest .338 supersonic cartridge ever but I'd imagine there will be expanding supersonic options for it in the future... ;)

    45-70 subx subsonic

    Yeah that's a 410gr .458" Sub-X.

    45-70 subx subsonic

10% ordnance gel shot. They're silly fun in a suppressed rifle. Kinda reminds me of shooting an M203 😂

6mm arc PRS gas gun division

It's there on all aluminum receivers that I'm aware of to include bolt actions like the MRAD. Some are certainly better than others. Seekins, Aero, JP, and others with the beefy front end cut it in half or better but there's still a couple tenths worth from front to back on the rail IME.

    338 ARC

Let me touch base with some folks about that. I have been loosely involved with the bullet (307 sub-x) but haven't done much with weapons systems. I know that MDT 6mm ARC AICS pattern magazines work well with it in a bolt gun, but I'll double check on the AR-15 front. I'd imagine mostly...

Garmin xero or ab mobile wrong?

Especially with people using 20, 30, 40 moa bases and/or mounts, the most accurate method is actually to measure at the objective bell. The image that the reticle is imposed onto, and that the erector tube "looks around at" is generated from the objective bell. Outside-to-outside widest...

    Higher quality trimmers worth it?

Look, dude... If it was a big red Neville on the side of the building there would probably be different courses of action-- probably the same if it was your name, but that's not this universe. Steve and Jason call the shots. The guys that do the electronic parts (scales, safes, etc..) are just...

    Higher quality trimmers worth it?

From what I understand (not my department but I sit 20ft away) it's the motor. Same reason Leupold has to say "assembled in USA" because their glass comes from out of the states. We have a couple of fully functional machine shops and most things that aren't molded plastic or electronic are...

Garmin xero or ab mobile wrong?

Aye, we've run 4-5 of them next to our Infinition doppler head and all were within 2-3fps on each individual shot and well within 1fps on the averages, SD's, etc.

Is 6 ARC gas gun bolt rim too thin if you just shoot Hornady factory ammo?

Watched the video. We (Hornady) have been explicit with the literature and videos we published about this subject since the release of the cartridge. Nothing new to see here... 52,000psi in all factory ammo and for reloading for semi-auto. 62,000psi for reloading for bolt guns. Run...

Is 6 ARC gas gun bolt rim too thin if you just shoot Hornady factory ammo?

Didn't watch the video but, All factory 6mm ARC ammo is 52,000psi max. It is 52,000psi max to mitigate bolt thrust in an AR-15 design. This is the same thing as 6.5 Grendel (been making that since ~2005). The bolt strength issue can be solved with proper material and heat treat selection...

Garmin xero or ab mobile wrong?

Sure that's correct? Most of my stuff ends up ~1.9-2.1" at the lowest.

    New 338ARC from Hornady…

I've got a lot of cool stuff drawn up... whether or not it ever happens..... No promises.

    338 ARC

I mean do whatever you think is best, but I've shot a lot of .308 and .338 bullets into gel over the last 5-6 years with various twist rates, and I design bullets for a living, and I'm not sold on the idea. From a bullet design perspective it absolutely shrinks the "success" envelope for...

    New 338ARC from Hornady…

Dude needs help. I had read some FB post of his years back where he claimed that somehow tapered shoulders made it impossible for suppressor/brake misalignment with the bore (as if you can't cut a taper off center axis????) and I questioned if the dude was all there and that video and subsequent...

    Margnal twist rate stabilizing question

Yeah usually below 1.1 is a gamble if it will stay point-forward at all. 1.0-1.2 will often suffer with dispersion, and 1.2-1.4 will have good dispersion (usually) with a slight hit to total drag. My personal cutoff for even trying it out is 1.2-1.25. Below that I've had rare success.

    Margnal twist rate stabilizing question

The linear velocity slows at a faster rate than the rotational velocity as the bullet goes down range. It effectively behaves as if the twist rate was increased as the bullet goes down range and SG increases the entire flight. Gyroscopic stability will increase through the entire flight path...
