    Precision Rifles.....show em!!

The wind was coming up a little each shot so I was holding a little more for each one. I had .7 mil wound on to start with. The bull was a blue blur in the mirage so I was more than happy with the group. It was actually good fun shooting it with the wrong type of rifle. I 3d printed the 3" bag...

Cheers, thanks (y) It was almost .4 moa left of centre though :)

    Precision Rifles.....show em!!

I shot some 1000y benchrest with my 6 acronym in a chassis the other week :) It did ok, 6.35" 5 shot group at 1000.

    LRA ski feet alternatives?

I made some for one a few years ago. There's a bit of work involved in the spigot part that fits into the legs. I made some ski feet and cleat type of feet for it, I just used screws rather than the spring loaded pins to hold them in place. Most machine/fabrication shops could do it, it's just...

    KRG Bravo Pic Thread

I've got 4 of them and they're all the same. The barrel channel is the same diameter from front to rear.

These are on an X-ray but it's the same forend. I machined them from brass for a bit extra weight and cerakoted them black.

    223 Ackley Improved

I ran out of 80 ELD-M's but got hold of a heap of 88's. I did a charge weight test yesterday to see what might work. I use ADI 2206H (H4895) with the 80's for around 3040 fps. It seems a bit fast for the 88's and 2208 (Varget) didn't look to give enough velocity without a compressed load. I...

    Precision Rifles.....show em!!

And a very nice set of skins they are. Nice job, they made it a cool looking rifle. (y)

    Precision Rifles.....show em!!

Latest iteration of my 6BRX. I did a long range shooting course last week and am now in love with my Kestrel :) We were smashing quite a few clays at 925m, I was pretty impressed with the way it all worked.

    KRG Bravo Pic Thread

I made a backbone and trigger guard to put my Lithgow LA101 in a Bravo stock a while back. It was a bit boring with the tan plastic, I reckon this looks much cooler. I made some stencils on the vinyl cutter and used crimson red, Tungsten and graphite black H series cerakote.

    223 Ackley Improved

I did some charge weight testing last week with the 80gn ELD-M's. It was interesting, they're 50FPS faster out of the barrel that 80gn Custom Comps with everything else the same. I am using ADI brass, ADI 2206H (H4895) and a BR4 primer. I ended up going with 25.8gn which gave me 3051fps with an...

Gunsmithing CIP magazine - long action modifications??

It really depends on where the magwell sits in your stock in relation to the cut in the bottom of the action. I made a stock for my 300 PRC and positioned the mag so it sits equally each side of the cut on the action, it fits and feeds without any modifications to the action. The action was...

Offset Micro Red Dots on Bolt Guns

I made a new top ring half to mount a little Docter red dot on my 22 for rimfire PRS stuff. It's great for getting on the right target quickly as well as for closer shooting without dialling or holding over/under.

    Homemade Induction Annealer

You're pretty close parts-wise with the auto feeder. You do end up with a very useful machine though. One thing to consider with the cooling system is to not have it as a sealed system. I did mine with the radiator and header tank inside the cabinet. I ran it for a lot of cases and the coolant...

    KRG Bravo

I've got 3 of them and an x-ray, no issues with the plastic at all. If anything, it's much nicer to hang onto than a metal chassis. I put some brass weights in the forend of a couple that I needed a bit heavier.

    super trickler

I've got an autotrickler and love it but have been following the development of the supertrickler and it definitely seems to be a step up. Automatic powder calibration, a built in user interface, a solution to most of the environmental issues (wind/breathing) and what looks to be a lot more...

He’s just a little Guy! Let’s see the little 223 trainers!

223AI on a trued up R700. Sleeved firing pin, sako extractor, IBI 1:7 twist barrel. It's a fantastic rifle out to 500m which is the limit of our range where we shoot PRS style matches. I'm shooting 80gr custom comps @ 2920 using ADI brass, 2206H (H4895), BR4 primers. I've also got a trainer...

    Tikka T3 Thread

No problem (y) PETG is good as it's a bit tougher but PLA is fine. If it's printed with 3 perimeters and about 25% infill it will be plenty strong enough.

    Tikka T3 Thread

I designed and printed a bag rider to suit the Tac A1 stock. It replaces the picatinny rail and uses the same screws to mount. It's not overly long but sits in a rear bag really well. I've had a couple of people ask about getting one, I'm in Australia so it's not really worth the postage...

Open-source 3D model for rifle chassis

To be honest, it's one of a bunch of different styles to try and get away from an AR15 grip. Everything I've made to this point uses one and I wanted to get away from it. The thought behind the low mount was to make it easy to make in 2 pieces and join under the grip so there's no fasteners...
