300 PRC Load Test - Unexpected Results

I'm saying SDs of 2.x aren't reasonable, especially for an 80 grain cartridge. That doesn't mean you shouldn't be happy with the loads, it is just improbable that you are getting these spreads.

300 PRC Load Test - Unexpected Results

Those SDs aren't reasonable for any string long enough to be relevant.

What did you do in the reloading room today?

I loaded 72 rounds yesterday. First time using my v4 with Re50. It actually flowed a little better than N570, in that I didn't need to tilt the scale at all to get a good flow rate. The only downside is that when kernels are .08-.1 grains, you are going to get a lot of technical overthrows...

On the V4 it just takes a second.

What did you do in the reloading room today?

That's interesting. I have the AX ELR as well, and I am jammed into the lands at 5.725. Almost shocked there is that much variance on the barrels.

    Wet vs. Dry Tumbling

I would definitely have thrown them out in that instance. Saved me days of work.

    Wet vs. Dry Tumbling

There are probably some good arguments for dry tumbling if using a single stage press, because of the ability to have a bit slicker inside neck. If you are using a progressive, or even more an automated progressive, you really should not dry tumble as the extra residue can really gum up the gears.

What did you do in the reloading room today?

The guy who is probably the leading authority on 50 BMG ammo swears that is the sweet node with those components more than 80% of the time. I am sure he doesn't want me quoting him directly, though, given that people are dumb and don't work their loads up.

    Hey western Montana folks

I can only speak to his reputation and my interactions and time spent with him, and they have both been very positive. Don't take this as offense, because I don't know you, but having read many of the people in the Bear Pit, especially like our insane Montana Hobo, I would probably not...

    AutoTrickler V4

V4 works pretty well with Reloder 50. Do not need to tip forward as with N570, but the last kernel can be a wait.

    Upgrade for the V3 AutoTrickler

Took me awhile to get my unit working how I like. Needed both rubbing alcohol and a harsher degreaser, but now it is great. I can report that Reloder 16 also works well in disc 7545. I am guessing 15 will as well, but need to confirm.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns 1911 / 2011 Help

I assume that is snark, but you are welcome! FWIW, I think the slide/frame and barrel fit on the Wessons is enough to make them have a good bit more potential than Browns. On mine I generally just change out the sear/disco/hammer, and then install a more comfortable thumb safety. With those...
